Re: Colgate 2009-2010

From the Syracuse Post-Standard

This Day in History
April 1

1990-Wisconsin wins its fifth NCAA hockey championship since 1973, 7-3 over Colgate.

Still remember it like it was yesterday! What a magical season.

Re: Colgate 2009-2010

Good to see Brian Day named Cap't for next season. Also nice appointments of Brise, Pop, and Mc as alternate captains.

Agree with the awards handed out at the banquet last night. Smith getting the most outstanding offensive player award bodes well for next year...

Re: Colgate 2009-2010

Mac had a goal and assist again I think Sat night. Cory Murphy scored the winner. Mac has three goals and three assists already. Lowell "Raiders" !

Re: Colgate 2009-2010

Non-conference opponents for next season as per the tentative schedule listed on the awards banquet program.

Army x2 (home and home, Gate home game in Cape Cod)
Niagara x2 (home and home)
Sacred Heart x2 (two at home)
Robert Morris x2 (two on road, Nov.)
Lake Superior State x2 (two on road, Oct.)
Boston College (Dartmouth tournament, Dec.)
Dartmouth/Mercyhurst (Dartmouth tournament)

BTW, the Cornell series returns to back-to-back games on 1/21 and 1/22.

Re: Colgate 2009-2010

That should rank us around 40th as far as strength of schedule goes next year. We would be 50th without BC.

Did the Coach say anything about this past season at the awards dinner?

Colgate 2010-2011

Colgate 2010-2011

Looks like we have another good recruit.

Michael Borkowski-LW 4/2/10 2011 or 2012 Cumberland (COJHL) 5'11 182 5-30-92 62-19-33-52-28.

This kid was voted best prospect of the COJHL this year. Decent stats for a 92 and must have some good upside to have the leagues coaches vote you best prospect.

Ug. 4 AHA opponents, Lake State is alright, BC is nice, but potentially facing another AHA or ECAC team the next game is disheartening

Not really thrilled with this schedule, but it sets up for a good non-conference record if this team is capable of building on 09-10's success

BTW, the Cornell series returns to back-to-back games on 1/21 and 1/22.

Nice pickup. I've been very happy with the recruiting these last few seasons

Re: Colgate 2009-2010

Gaterroter, when you make these posts please leave out all the extraneous players and just give us the info on Colgate picks, or ECAC team picks. That's what we're interested in...

Re: Colgate 2009-2010

What an accomplishment by such a tremendous student-athlete. Colgate, the Hamilton community, and national charities & organizations are extremely fortunate. Quite the philanthropist! Congratulations.

Keep the recruits coming!

Re: Colgate 2009-2010

Anthony Hamburgh update.

Omaha just swept their opening round playoff series and are now on to the final four of the USHL. Anthony only dressed in the 2nd game of the 3 game series and was even on the plus/minus. Not sure of health status.

He is the last recruit we have signed that is still playing.

After watching BC last night coach Vaughn may want to start working on the game plan now (only 8 months left)! Wow are they quick!

Re: Colgate 2009-2010

Thx, Woodstick. Missed the broadcast on NHL network so this is the next best thing.

As for BC...we should have 4 skaters and 2 in net ;-)
