Coaching vacancies 2012

Re: Coaching vacancies 2012

I suppose he was technically "there" [meaning somewhere on campus] but almost never actually on the ice...or off-ice for that matter. The other coaches seemed to be running things.

dont be surprised if the Hamilton administration opens the door for scott wiley and he walks right in. would make a lot of sense for everyone and solves a lot of problems quickly for Hamilton

My daughter was there in a previous year. I don't think that what you describe is significnatly different than that year. The camp was structured so that all the coaches ran sessions, not just Coach Knight. I think that is how Hamilton has been able to get such a diverse and enthusiastic group of coaches to the camp each year. Coach Knight participated as one of the coaches and then ran the backroom stuff. So it sounds like he treated it the same this year as in previous years.

More likely to follow the Amherst path I think.
Go with the young asst. coach and see what happens.
It's not as if Knight will be a tough act to follow...and they can always look at Wiley [or do a full scale search] after the season if things don't work out.
