Enjoy or be terrified, preferably the latter.

So you didn't dream of some blonde girl, and a short, fat white guy, all in a red hue and immediately know who killed Laura Palmer, but drag it on for 20 episodes until no one cares anymore?
I watched for 30 seconds and got bored. Terrible opening. Too Sarah McLachlan-like.
Someone will have to sum it up for me.
Perhaps it might be better not to become so fixated on one problem that we lose the flexibility to adapt to other threats which are just as likely and even more serious?
Look! Look at the shiny jingling keys! Don't worry humans have nothing to do with climate change! Look at everything else that isn't a possibility. Ooh shiny aren't they? Jingle jingle!Umm... What?
Umm... What?
So do we need someone with the power and abilities far beyond mortal man?Heaven knows we puny Earthlings can only fix one problem at a time. It isn't like we can multi-task.

I saw a show on The Weather Channel about global cooling that results from large volcanic eruptions.
I also recall reading several articles about three weeks ago about how we narrowly escaped being hit by a massive solar flare which, had it hit the earth, would have fried everything that runs on electricity.

I cannot understand how you, or anyone, could be worried about volcano driven climate change while not being worried about (mainly) CO2 driven climate change.
I suppose nuance is lost upon fanatics?
you completely and totally mis-stated what I actually wrote: we cannot be so obsessed with one problem that we lose sight of other, equally serious and equally likely problems. that is not dismissing one problem at all. It is merely saying that we have more than one thing to worry about. we should not make one problem even more serious in trying to solve another problem.
beyond any of these problems, i fear that an EMP attack is far more likely and far more worrisome and far more devastating.
There is a lot I could say about this whole post but this probably irked me more than other parts.
What am I a fanatic of? Is it climate change? Because I thought this was the thread to talk about it in...I suppose nuance is lost upon fanatics?

This is more of what I take issue with. You are basically pulling this out of your ***. Scientific societies, governments, etc are worried about both issues but it really is a pointless ****ing contest of conjecture to see which one is more "devastating." Both would suck. Our current understanding is that although an EMP strike will happen (given enough time) it will be a shortlived moment with a lot of collateral damage. Positive feedback climate change can last millennia. This also will have a lot of collateral damage. We also know climate change is happening. We have strategies (whether reasonable or not) to address these issues.beyond any of these problems, i fear that an EMP attack is far more likely and far more worrisome and far more devastating.
