Castleton had a pretty good weekend. They played Potsdam and Plattsburgh. Castleton did not look very good in the potsdam game and came out with a tie, but when they played Plattsburgh it was a totally differnt story. They beat Plattsburgh with an offensive explosion and played very well, great game. If I am correct they started playing some new freashmen who have been contributing too which is always a good thing to see. Overall, if Castleton plays like they did against Plattsburgh and Norwhich teams should not under estimate their true potential.

Castleton has a big weekend coming up and need to win both games. The following week will be Babson and thats a must win.

Plymouth State has been getting alot of hype lately, about being in first in their divison. Casstleton beat them 2 times this year, this just shows that their divison is not that good and there are teams out there that should make it over them.

They play in the MASCAC. They won't be getting in unless they win the league....whats the hype? :confused::confused:

After a rough weekend for Castleton, between getting screwed over by refs calling two goals back and a terrible losss to Umass-Boston do they have it in them to beat Norwich? There really has not been to much of an offensive explosion this year especially when some of their top goal scorers are not producing. Castleton has been out playing teams but cant put the puck in the net. They need thier seniors to step up along with some of their freashmen, if they are going to go anywhere in playoffs.

G-- D--- refs, its always their fault. That and the LUCK that other teams have. Jeez, I hope the Spartans can make it through the season.:rolleyes:

The only time you will see Castleton fans posting is if they almost beat Norwich or when the refs lost the game for them!

I think even Norwich fans have to admit that the officials have made a lot of strange calls this year, ie, take a look back at the Norwich/St. Mike's game a few weeks ago where all the calls went St. Mike's way. Norwich is always one of the teams with the least penaties each year. Castleton has run into a few hot goaltenders in the ECAC E just like Norwich. And remember Castleton has already defeated Plattsburgh in Rutland this year so the game this weekend should be close.

IMHO the refs got both calls right (and I'm not a fan of refs in general!). I was at that end of the rink and both were obvious kicks. The amazing things is that the refs actually saw them and actually got the calls right. Give credit were it is due, Caselton carried the play but the Babson team blocked a ton of shots and the goalie stole the show. A road shut out in the ECAC -E is rare and every game is a battle.

I agree it should be a good divisional game. The difrerence between Norwich and Castleton is when NU gets a bad call they play through it and move on. CSC dwells on it and if they loose the game they blame the refs on it. I have seen NU fans say the refs made a bad call but I have not ever seen them they say thats the reason they lost the game.

The refs usally do have it right. CSC has there own rule book.

I think the consensus on both games we have lost this year is that the other team played a better game on those days.

What do you know, we have another Castleton Norwich game. I believe Castleton has the ability to win this game, they just have to jump on top early and stay out of the box. It would be nice not to see Norwhich win again this year:D.

Castleton absolutely has the capabilities to win this game.

All it takes is an early goal or two and then a goalie standing on his head and you've got the recipe for an upset.

I think this is going to be Norwich's toughest road to an ECAC East Championship in years....

Castleton needs to play a disciplined game, something that doesn't always seem to happen when they play Norwich.

They sometimes seem to get caught up in the excitement and panic when they fall behind. That's not the way they played in the meeting in Rutland, but that is how the game went at Krietzberg. In the Rutland game, held the Cadets offense in check, only to lose on a last minute goal. In the Northfield game, they hung on through the first period and a half, and then the wheels came off. Castleton has been puzzling this season - winning games I would have thought they would lose, and vice versa,
