I think this is correct.

The other problem is the contrast with Trump would revive Hill's authenticity problem. Even though I dislike her, I acknowledge she's come a long way from 2008. And if you put her up against an obvious puppet like Rubio or a pathological sleaze like Cruz she'll be fine. But against Trump she'll look like a calculating career politician and this is Not The Year for that.

Hey Kep, did you know Dr. Cornel West is endorsing Bernie? He was talking on Real Time how he was stumping for him in South Carolina and he thinks as the lack Community gets to know him they will come out for him.

In other news Rover hates Dr. Cornel West :D

Not shocked by either thing. :-) West certainly understands that the policies of the last 36 years have boned the black community and he wants to restore sanity and repeal Reagan fiscal policy. I suspect he thinks it was driven by racism, whereas in reality it was just driven by greed and the influence of big money in our politics, but it comes to the same thing. Glad to have him as an ally. I doubt he will bring in a single voter -- the people who listen to West already know the score.

BTW, I coulda sworn West does the all lowercase thing, but even his official website doesn't.

I know this is off tangent...but I don't hate Bernie. I think the approach of a self styled animosity towards business is the wrong approach. And that seems to be his vocal platform. Having said that, he is no worse than the second best candidate running.

I'd argue it's not towards business, it's towards people (and companies, which is people; and industries, which is companies, which is people) who use wealth and power to distort business and/or outright cheat, the result of which is a few people get very rich and everybody else is screwed.

To me, Bernie is the voice of Main Street.

I dunno...the Black Community is not behind Bernie at the moment so I think he can bring in plenty. Wont be enough mind you, but once again Hillary is not exactly wowing the Center or the Left. The only reason most people can say to vote for her around here is to keep the GOP out...not exactly a ringing endorsement ;)

For Republicans, yes. I think a majority of Democrats are still quite content with the results of Obama's center-left policies. If it were anyone other than the Wicked Witch of Washington lined up to be Obama's 3rd term, I feel Bernie's numbers wouldn't be as good.
