Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

???? My kid being abusive? No, I said I would not want her to be abused. Just I would not like your kid, or Kepler's kid to be abused or hazed or whatever is demeaning.

Who is going to abuse the non TG kid? Are you implying the TG kid is going to harass random kids just cause?

Your concern trolling is Faux News level.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

Speculation on why the money hasn't lined up against Trump yet.

There are several reasons. First, creating an organization and spending millions of dollars to carpet-bomb Trump with negative ads in key states isn't easy; there aren't many people who could pull it off. Second, some donors think an anti-Trump offensive not only would not work but would backfire on an already unpopular GOP establishment. Third, some who do believe it could work think it should not be attempted until Trump's critics have agreed on an alternative candidate — which they haven't. Fourth, the anti-Trump opposition can't decide who should lead such an effort. And fifth, most GOP strategists and money movers continue to believe Trump will ultimately fail on his own, that in the end he will not be the Republican nominee.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

I think a big factor is the unwanted attention Trump would bring to any effort to discredit him. People like the Koch brothers like to operate in secret. Trump has no boundaries so its probable the entire organization, warts and all, of any group of people who go after him will get a thorough public airing by a master salesman.

Regarding money though, I think its going to start to swing behind Calgary Ted in a desperate but quiet attempt to stop Trump. Rubio is like Jebbers! The idea of his candidacy sounds great until you actually see and listen to the guy.

The problem Cruz has is the entire Republican party except for maybe 40 guys in the Freedumb Caucus loathe him. If Bill Clinton was the master of building peer relationships in order to facilitate professional relationships, Cruz is exactly the reverse. His fellow Republican senators would dance on his grave, and even the House leadership and RNC apparatchiks see him as a huge liability for the party. Why on Earth would they make that their hood ornament?

Rubio's biggest weakness is that he's an obvious puppet, but to the money men that's not a bug it's a feature. If the early primaries break it down to Trump, Cruz, and Rubio, Rubio becomes the darling of the establishment by default, and for once the establishment is favored by the splits since now the anarchists are splitting between two choices while TPTB siphons down to one.

I've moved my marker from Jeb to Rubio, but considering that I thought the Bush money and contacts would sew it up for him I'm hardly somebody with good instincts this time around.

I have no idea what the actual money figures are, but here in Iowa Rubio has been airing a ton of ads, with Cruz and Carson next. Sanders and Clinton are about even on the Dem side, ad-wise.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

I think Rubio's adds are going to get him what Bush's did - nothing. Hard right wingers could give a sh !t less about his immigrant story and he's going to get that "Amnesty Bill" hung around his neck the minute anybody starts taking him seriously.

Kep - Establishment has nowhere else to go. Yes they hate Cruz, but at some point you need to choose between him and Trump. Does the Establishment cozy up to Trump??? Maybe they do. Couldn't tell you either way, but my earlier backing of Calgary Ted is not too far off from a 50/50 shot at this point - maybe 55/45 in favor of Trump.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

These people writing this stuff fail to realize that the Donald is the only person who has a shot at beating hilly. They live in their own little cocoon and think the public et.al think how they want everyone to think.

People (Reagan dems for example) are attracted to the Donald's message.

If repubs bigwigs are listening to them same pollsters who told them mittens was winning that's shame on them strike 2.

I'm talking about what happens up to the nomination. Once the nomination is in hand the establishment will blow whoever that nominee is. Fox and Rush and Erick Erickson will suddenly discover that Nominee X is actually the long-lost lovechild of Ronald Reagan and Phyllis Schlafly, the money will pour in, and for 5 months every hack GOP lackey from William Kristol to S.E. Cupp will solemnly pronounce that this is The Most Important Election Of Our Lifetimes and Nominee X is Jesus with better hair.

And then if they lose, on November 9th they'll all rip Nominee X and each other to shreds again.

You mean...Trump IS Republican Jesus?!?! God help us all!

Every ad in Iowa on the GOP side is like a poutrage of the day greatest hits album - religion, ISIS, and bringing an end to Obama's embarrassment. Ben Carson's latest is the only one that cuts differently, to his credit, though it's still meaningless pandering. (At least it's a positive one, rather than the usual muckity muck)

Cruz's is the worst of the bunch, though Rubio is only slightly behind him. Cruz gets the top honor for ending with "the only strategy that will work .... we win, they lose."

That's not a strategy, you dumb fark, that's an outcome.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

Calgary Ted is playing chess while Rubio is playing checkers (Trump is making up his own rules). What I have to admire about the guy is his ability to play the long game. Either he wins the nomination, or he loses to Trump but stays on good terms with his voters, goes back to the Senate, and then tries again in 2020 as the de facto front runner for the nomination. For all the Bush! Walker Rubio Christie Kasich nonsense we've heard in the run up to the actual voting, only one candidate has handled the Trump phenomenon well.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

I am sorry but where are all these people supposedly saying that again?

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

If elected, HRC will prove she has the most foreign policy experience link

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

Are these illegal aliens?

And is the D party assured they will vote democrat across the board?

If they're smart enough to invent interstellar drives, they're certainly liberals.

Re: Campaign 2016 - Snow White and the 7 dwarfs.

Now wait a minute! They could be from that fantasyland planet where giving tax cuts to Mitt Romney and Paris Hilton benefits the rest of us and pre-emptive war is a swell idea. I mean, conservatives have to get their ideas from somewhere, right? ;)
