Campaign 2016 - Primary season! Duck (questions) season!

I don't see why it has to be so black and white. You can still believe progress has been made but not as much as there could have been.

It'd be like saying you have to decide if MSU's football season this past yer was either a success or failure. It was a great year that ended disappointingly. Obama has done a pretty good job, but Guantanamo is still open, and promises regarding worker's rights and tax credits/loopholes still have not been taken care of.

Last night was probably the first debate I thought Hillary definitely won, though. Bernie fought back with a couple good one-liners on a couple of her points but for the most part she did very well.

I did't watch the debate but I guess from what you guys are saying it's Hillary for prez. I can't help being a little bit disappointed that it's over so soon this year. We knew the Republicans weren't going to run a candidate but I was kind of hoping for a more meaningful battle out of Bernie than 2 states. Oh well, fun while it lasted.

Oh, it'll be bigger than two states. But when it's all said and done it'll be Hillary. Then she'll find a way to blow it again and we'll end up with whatever **** show comes out of the GOP.

It has to be because that's the way Bernie's campaign is running. If you're calling for a revolution, but your party has been in the White House for 16 out of 24 years, you're not saying lets build on that. You're saying it didn't accomplish much at all. Now we can agree or disagree with Bernie's wanting of a revolution, but saying we need one but the recent Dem presidents were great or even good are mutually exclusive concepts. You're describing Hillary's campaign (lets build on the good things we've done) - not Sanders.

The best entertainment left for this election is reading Donald J. Trump's Twitter:
“Lying Cruz put out a statement, 'Trump & Rubio are w/Obama on gay marriage.' Cruz is the worst liar, crazy or very dishonest. Perhaps all 3?” Trump tweeted.

Glad Mookie didn't catch that movie of Cinemax. Ich

(Now if the woman of color had been in those.....)

HA! When this story broke I thought "well, at least Cruz has won mookie's vote!" :D

You are right, but Hillary and her people are choosing to obscure that because they think they can inherit Obama's voters and enthusiasm. The best part of that is she was all set to trash Obama if Biden had gotten into the race. Oh well, it's politics -- it's not necessarily a bad thing that she knows how to play dirty, but it does mean you know she's lying when she moves her lips.

We may be seeing her at her best right now coming off getting whupped in every demographic category in NH. She's scared so she's being careful. But after a few primary wins the flag of tin eared entitlement will have unfurled again. Tracy Flick's gonna do what she's gonna do -- all we can control is how much we can mold her into a form that works for the country's advantage.

Meanwhile in Michigan tax cuts were more important than clean water and Rubio is showing that he got an "A" in his "Math the GOP Way" course.

http://www.vox.com/2016/2/11/10967152/marco-rubio-tax-policy-center

Rubio's plan sticks out for focusing less on cutting the top rate (his is 35 percent to Bush's 28 and Trump's 25) than on expanding tax breaks, especially for families with children, and on exempting investment income from taxation. In that way, it's quite different, and more radical, than Bush or Trump's offerings.

But it's similar to them in price tag and in progressivity. Rubio's plan would cost the government $6.8 trillion in lost revenue over 10 years

Do you ever get tired of being wrong?

Or, put it this way. I haven't been right about a Presidency since Clinton's second term. Since I would undoubtedly put myself in the Hillary camp, I am going to assume that she is going to lose because I haven't been right since 1996 and 1996 is the only time I've been right.

So you called bubba over dole? :D

Brokered convention baby! The party turns to him to be Republican Jesus and he saves knuckledraggerdom from Donald Trump! :D

Oh God, I can almost see it happening.

In all honesty, anything can happen if you have a roomful of people who thought Trump or Cruz would make a good president. I mean, what exactly is their thought process and what are its bounds? They could nominate Kurt Schilling. He tells it like it is.
