Campaign 2016 - People lie the most after a hunt, during a war or before an election

I thought "The Trumpeter Rebellion" would sound more epic than "various supporters of casino entertainer Donald J. Trump's reality show candidacy"

If you could do the Venn diagram, you'd likely see that Trump's supporters know all the "Kardashians" by first name and wear a lot of advertising on their clothes. And would never vaccinate their kids. Or eat evil GMO food. etc. He's a populist celebrity.

Irrelevant whether or not there's as many hippy anti-vaxers as their are knucks. Trump is tapping into the paranoia on the right. Carson was left to be the voice of reason () explaining the medical science behind that bogus claim. When you're explaining, you're losing. Both Carson and Paul seemed to realize this, because they both gave Trump an out by agreeing with him on spreading out the timing of the dosages, which was NOT Trump's original point (vaccinations cause autism). Trump is peddling the anti-science crowd what they want to hear. Its fvking brilliant as much as I abhor it.

This would be kind of a funny issue, if it didn't matter so much. It started with a bunch of California liberals doing yoga and gluten-free dieting with Jenny McCarthy or someone, then it spread to libertarians as a "don't tell me how to raise my kids" issue, then to anti-government evangelicals. Anti-vaxers might still mostly be liberals, but it's a home-schooling-like alliance of different brands of extremists.
But certainly not a "conservative voters" in general thing. More of a Trumpeter Rebellion thing.

Ah, no.

Spot on article re: Fiorina here>

Same thing tripped up Mittens and Paul Ryan. At some point when you debate the other side, they will call you out on completely made up stuff that the political press will not. These righties are killing themselves come general election time no matter who emerges.

how'come nobody calls out the fat clinton then for lying?!?

Don't forget the anti-HPV crowd. That's a fairly consistently conservative group.

I recall listening to conservative talk radio when the HPV vaccine was going through the FBA process. The people that would call in were just nuts, concerned that the vaccine was an ultimate risk to their daughters' virginity. If you think it's HPV that's keeping your daughter a virgin, then you're either the greatest propagator of boogeyman lore or you really are in a state of self delusion.

Re: Campaign 2016 - People lie the most after a hunt, during a war or before an elect

To the people who worry about your daughter's virginity: your daughter's not a virgin. It's the daughters of parents like that who are the wildest and have the highest incidence of underage sex, unwed pregnancy, and STDs (not to mention domestic sexual abuse). The herpa-derp obsession with sexual predators is pure projection. Just another squawk from the undrained backwoods swamp.

Got it. I was furiously googling what I assumed was a reference that sailed over my head. :)

I actually don't think there's much overlap between Trump and Kardashian fans. For one thing, to remain sane I must maintain the faith that Kardashian fans are all 12-year old girls (who, we all know, are big supporters of Jim Gilmore). For another, Trump's fans strike me as on one hand Duck Dynasty / Sarah Palin types and on the other pathologically anti-Wall Street armchair intellectuals who read The American Conservative and can name all seven members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve (my best friend from high school is one of these guys, and I love him dearly despite his fetishes for rhodium bullion and repealing the 14th amendment).

In the first part, we're talking about the same thing: I don't differentiate between The Kardashian Show (whatever it's called) and the Duck Dynasty Show. Maybe they are different subsets, but they're both easily manipulated branches of the same batch of reality show consumers that probably won't actually vote for president because they won't want to miss calling in to "American Idol" that night. This seems to be a big chunk of the public, but I doubt they matter a year from now as a voting bloc.
The "other hand"... the nerdy self-admirers... I really hope not. I have to believe they've not been sucked in. I like those guys too.

"The enemy of my enemy." Trump is the only Republican saying the Wall Street emperor has no clothes, so they find that endearing. They also like the idea of a self-funded candidate who won't have to spend the first 36 months of each term paying back donor favors. And they don't care jack about the fundy social agenda so they don't mind that Trump is a NYC liberal just bluffing it out on social issues, in fact they think it's kind of funny to watch a guy so blatantly lying to the rubes while visibly winking to the rest of us.

Last night there was a brief discussion on the mafia in NJ

I guess I'm the only one that thought Santorum and Fiorina were the most impressive in their respective events. And it's not even close for me.

If I saw that sign on the Garden State I would cause an accident just laughing.

Actual reason.

If you google "dump truck overpass" you hit a lot of different stories.
