Re: Campaign 2016 - People lie the most after a hunt, during a war or before an elect
Actually watched a bit of this one, and although half the people up there looked like corpses (for their sake I hope it was just the lighting) here's what I gleaned from it from left to right IIRC.
Paul - best answers of the night. Nailed it on the Iraq War being a mistake and that while we can arm the Kurds and provide air cover, the people there need to fight their own war. Well said Doc. He also nailed both Bush and Christie on medical weed, particularly calling out Fatso as being a hypocrite bragging about legalizing medical marijuana but saying he'd enforce federal laws, which hold that to be illegal. For this he will be ignored by the lamestream media and sink even further.
Huckleberry - I guess he's stopped that eating healthy campaign because he's a big as a house. Clear spoken and able to make his points in the time alloted to him. Still finding God everywhere, even in budget spreadsheets, but that's his schtick and did his usual thing.
Rubio - I don't get why the media keeps pimping this guy? No depth, just reciting talking points, way out of his league. Love how he feels he doesn't need to show up in the Senate since he's running for President and not re-election to his seat. Does he plan on giving back his 175K salary as well? What an a-hole. Try doing that at your own job and see how long you last.
Walker - Crushed by Trump. Worst night of anybody not named "Bush". That sound you heard was Trump closing the lid on his coffin and hammering in the first nail. Should be playing for a VP nod at this point.
Cruz - Did little. Still doing the "Smartest Kid in Class" thing. Can afford to bide his time until next debate, by which time he will have caused a govt shutdown.
Carson - I'm starting to see his appeal. Strongest performance aside from Paul tonight. Low key manner makes him look like the adult in the room despite getting totally ignored by most pundidiots. Has some depth and authenticity about him even though he's nuts (no points off for that in this crowd). Has handled Trump the most effectively, joking with him instead of having a screaming match (the vaccine exchange was a great example). His humor also seems off the cuff and not pre-rehearsed ("he's an okay doctor" about Trump even had Trump laughing). Anti-Afghanistan war stance makes him only GOP candidate in last 3 cycles to do that, and although his intellectual approach to 9/11 was unworkable it did make people think.
Trump - Nobody touched him despite media's desperate attempt to promote flavor of the week Carly Fiorina's performance. Easily swatted aside charges even though lame CNN hosts made about every question about him. Hammered both Walker and Bush effectively.
Bush - Why is he even running anymore? I heard somebody on the radio saying he had a strong performance?

Compared to who? Aside from Paul's correct observation that high school pot smoker Jebbers! was never in any danger of facing criminal penalties if caught due to his affluence while inner city kids get mandatory minimums for the same crime, also got nailed by Hugh Hewitt who asked him if he's his own man why are all his advisors GWB refugees? Idiotic response about how "well the last two GOP Presidents have been Bushes so where else can I find staffers". Ummm...its a big country Jeb. You don't need Wolfowitz and other Iraq war a ssclowns advising you. Yet another reason to not elect him. Stick a fork in him.
Fiorina - Aside from bombshell about her son dying of an overdose, which I had no idea about, there's no depth to the woman. Basically every point is Hillary is evil. Hell, Kep and Handy could have told us that. Should they have been on stage in high heels and a dress too (ewww).

Saying "every women knows what Trump meant" being equated to "Ask not what your country can do for you" by media like this was some sort of revelation. Yes Carly, Trump thinks you have a dog face. We figured that out long ago.
Kasich - Bad performance. Regurgitated talking points continuously. Looked like he was suffering from the flu. I don't know what it is with these Establishment guys (Walker, Jebbers! Kasich) but they aren't getting it done in this format.
Christie - Fat loud slob. Needs to drop out and save some dignity. Trump called him out on Atlantic City correctly. Seems like a guy who does well when he's leading, but has no plan to play catch up if needed. Strong comment about not knowing if his wife was alive for 5 hours during 9/11, but maybe basing your candidacy on something that happened 14 years ago isn't enough.
Lastly, I was surprised about all the JFK references. Did they get confused as to what library they were in?
