Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

On a brighter note, my 10yr old made me proud as could be today, when she found a video on a classroom tablet that was bullying one of her classmates and turned it over to the teacher. Fortunately the kid that made the video was bright enough to give himself credit in the video. Did the right thing without any concern about if anything would happen to her.

Good for your daughter for doing the right thing.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

Trump wants Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan Chase for Treasury...my lord this country is screwed.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

Yeah, they are

Painting with that wide brush again...bold strategy.

Look, the man himself is horrible. A segment of people that support him are pond scum, as they've proved the last few days. But lumping 50 million people into a group and labeling them with broad strokes...dig a little deeper than that.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

The cops were letting them...they were fine. It was late at night and it wasnt hurting anyone. You really need to lighten up about this stuff.

People are ****ed, let them blow off steam, as long as it doesn't escalate into violence.

I don't mind a peaceful protest, don't mind them marching around, "camping out" (using the term loosely) for the day or night, but when you start impeding traffic on a HIGHWAY especially, nope.

And the cops don't want trouble. We've all seen what happens when they actually try to enforce the law at these things. Some idiots (NOT A MAJORITY, MIND YOU) start sh* and then all hell breaks loose.

It does make me mad. You broke the law, and if the protest is that important to you, you will pay the price for your actions and stand by your principles.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

You know what shows you arent evil...hoping people protesting get tear gassed or worse. You stay classy Drumpfers...

(read the comments on the live feeds of the protest)

I'm sorry the picture is coming into clearer view, but this is what I was talking about.

A few weeks ago, we were talking about Erik Paulsen, who basically puts the generic in 'generic Republican'. I said I disagree with him on almost everything, but I wouldn't think someone that supported him was a bad person. At the presidential level, same goes for Romney, McCain, W(more or less, at least the first time), Dole, and Bush 41, in my lifetime.

This was different. It was not Republican vs. Democrat. It was a test of fascism and hatred against our American ideals, and anyone that didn't do what they could to stop it failed those people you're seeing hurt today. I'm not willing to let them off the hook for that for some hope of political gain.

LOUD NOISES!! guy in that video said we didn't talk enough about the issues. BS. This is the issue. The value of our citizenship should always be the #1 issue, and its' value is cheapened when it isn't applied fairly and equally. We talked about it a lot, too many people just didn't care.

Yep. Maybe somebody will be inspired to write a letter from the Bloomington jail and lead a movement.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

Protest, spend the night in jail if you broke the law (which many did), get a misdemeanor for "impeding traffic" or some other basically BS charge, and move on. It won't ruin your life. Nope, "we can do what we want!" No, you really can't. You are RESPONSIBLE for your actions.

Brent - I suggest you go to where they are and hand out protest participation trophies. They could all go home happy.

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XXV: Fin

The only way this could more delicious is if he picked the actual JP Morgan for the job.

The inaugural ball should be held on Jekyll Island. What did Louis C. K. say? "If you vote for Trump you're a sucker."
