richard branson is on msnbc telling the viewers how dangerous tD is......

so ------- it's ok for a brit to influence our election, but NOT for the russians :D

Even tongue-in-cheek it's a brutal comparison. :D

Which is funny because people who sit on the other side of the aisle from you would say that Warren, Franken, Clinton and Klobuchar just like to sit around to whine and complain...

I'm not sure anyone with a straight face is saying that about Franken.

Challenge the hypothesis. Always continue to ask questions.

Great philosophy...problem is you have to ask smart questions or you come off look like a rube. Case in point, 90% of the crap that spews out of your mouth. :D

Oh look, still trying to distract the public. Why do we have people "disappearing"? Why are there numerous exiles, including most recently Eric Braverman? Why is so much effort being placed into cover-ups if there wasn't something amiss?

I once believed the narrative. I took the bait. People tried to convince me otherwise, but I wouldn't budge. Then I realized that the only way to solidify a hypothesis is to challenge it. So I did. It turns out what I had believed was wrong. It was painful, just as much as it is painful to see other people fall under the same trap. The experience was very liberating, and the mind is as free as ever.

I've heard insanity is pretty liberating! :D

However, I think I've been totally upfront with you that you'll be "reporting" to the nearest gulag, I mean, detention facility, about 5 seconds after Hillary takes the oath. ;)

It's great you are feeling whole now, Flaggy, but don't flush the pills.

Yes, well, the next President likes to do things. Elizabeth Warren likes to do things. Al Franken likes to do things. Amy Klobuchar likes to do things. From what I can tell Ryan, Issa, Gowdy, and McConnell don't like to do anything except whine and complain about how they can't have their way.

Roadblocks!!!!!! YES :)

That's not fair. Issa likes to do things. Insurance fraud is technically things.

Some of these Ayotte ads that are bleeding over into Mass. are funny, in a pathetic way.

Which is funny because people who sit on the other side of the aisle from you would say that Warren, Franken, Clinton and Klobuchar just like to sit around to whine and complain while their guys are actually out doing something. It's all a matter of perspective and what you think "doing something" means.

Related, but not totally: I like Warren if she stuck to ONLY financial stuff. That's it. Nothing more. She sticks her nose into anything else....game over. See also: Ross Perot.

You're aggregating UNH's revenues as a whole, not their various product lines. We don't have access to each product line, though state regulators do, so you and I don't know exactly how their ACA products fared. Apple turns profits like it's nobody's business, but (hypothetically) their iPad product might be in the red. We wouldn't see that in their quarterly financial reports that then get repeated in the financial headlines, where their iPhone could be masking the iPad's dismal performance.

Of course they're not turning the same profits. The whole point of the thing was that insurance providers were denying coverage to people with pre-existing conditions and putting dollar limits on expensive diseases because those people would hurt their bottom line. I would argue those previous profits were artificially high due to shady business practices, and now the correct cost is being added back in. McDonald's could probably improve their bottom line if they started mixing rat meat into their hamburger, and I'd get to work faster if there weren't all those stop signs.

Rigged

Indeed.

The city should invest in multiple early sites if voting waits are such a problem. Having said that, the other side of this is that the clerk was being asked to open the only additional early site in the city at UWGB. The question it seems to me she's asking, is given budget restrictions, is it proper to open a site in only a heavily democratic area, without the ability to open corresponding sites in what could be republican areas? (Or even for just actual regular residents of the city) Or in other words, reduce waits and increase convenience for democrats only, but not do it for republicans. (by, say, opening a voting site at the Veteran's Center.) It's not like they have a dozen sites (or they claim, the money for any such sites) and are just denying UWGB solely on the basis of it's political demographics. The government is presumably not supposed to favor one side over the other and the question seems it could be a legitimate one on that basis.

Unrelated to this, I waited 5 hours to vote in the last presidential election in my heavily republican county. R's in control did a terrible job of singling out dems for suppression here. They screwed everyone equally.
