I don't know. Not trying to down play it too much, but...it's the center of a major city's downtown. This really isn't anything new. Which isn't to say it should be ignored or accepted, just that I don't understand the idea that "it's getting shady" or that you now need to avoid reputable establishments in the area.

I think saying an area is getting shady without checking into the crime data by district...

I actually said "not exactly a shady place," which means I don't really think it's shady.

That's all Rover asked for.

What you're asking for, to have revenues actually cover expenses, well that's just straight up crazy talk.

Sorry your solution is a bit vague but truth be told I'm kinda bored of the subject. The gist of it, to maintain existing revenues but also a progressive tax structure, is what's the tax rate and what's the exemptions. Until somebody puts that out the rest is all blah blah blah.

Moving on and regarding Ohio, I wouldn't fret just yet. I'm not surprised a more blue collar workforce is friendlier to Trump than to Romney. But QU isn't the only pollster out there. As 538 suggests I'd put her at no worse than 50/50 there. The crux of Trump's problem remains the same. He's not attracting any new voters.

With all due respect to Joe and his family and his understandable reaction, he starts out by saying "I didn't see it, this was given to me by Chris Cuomo." So Joe is apparently responding to a single quote given out of context by the clearly non-partisan son of Mario and brother of Andrew, former democrat governors of New York. Not that Joe's response would necessarily be a lot different anyway... I mean it still is politics afterall.

But to give some contrast, here's the statement by a guy that was actually there, and Trump was actually talking to, as he was the one who asked the question:

The man who asked Trump about PTSD, Marine Staff Sergeant Chad Robichaux, responded to the outrage in a statement:

“I think it’s sickening that anyone would twist Mr. Trump’s comments to me in order to pursue a political agenda. I took his comments to be thoughtful and understanding of the struggles many veterans have, and I believe he is committed to helping them. The nature of my question focused on a broken system that’s failing so many of our veterans and, as president, would Mr. Trump take a more holistic approach to health care for veterans. I interpreted his answer to affirm that the system is broken and he would take the necessary steps to address it. After eight combat tours in Afghanistan I came home and was diagnosed with PTSD, and I struggled with it. Since my own recovery I’ve been privileged to help 1100 veterans who have graduated from our program; none of whom have committed suicide since graduating. It’s a very important issue to me, which is why I was thankful for the opportunity to ask Mr. Trump about it directly.”

I get the reasons why he didn't do it, but **** he should have run.

Agree. Joe could have done a lot of good for the country. But the guy has done enough, and it's just very disappointing that any other quality moderate Dem was shut out from running, because it was Hillary's turn.

Who would have been a better candidate than Hillary?

Its a good thing because its increasingly unlikely any of them would have been able to deflect the nonsensical, media enabled candidacy that is Donald Trump! I like Elizabeth Warren for example far more than Hillary, but having never run a national campaign and being of the age where Dems still expect the media to tell the truth I fear she would have tried to make academic arguments with a man running on pure emotion (that emotion being hate).

All Dems owe Uncle Joe Biden a big debt of gratitude for crushing Weasel Paul Ryan in the VP debate. However the man's run for Prez 3 times and went nowhere. 4th time's the charm? Plus, and this is more important than it should be, but the guy could never catch a break with the press, almost becoming a punch line despite his hard work.

As unfortunate as it is, only one Dem could have run a national race, deflected the insanity and nonsense, and come out ahead of the scorched Earth campaign against it, and that's Hillary since both Obama and Bill are constitutionally barred from a 3rd term.

Kelly Ayotte thinks Trump is a role model for children. That's all anyone needs to know about today's Republican party. Yet, the polls even after the debate still have Trump with a path to victory.

America deserves Donald Trump is the only logical conclusion one can draw.

Hardly bumped the polls. He's immune.

While I appreciate your schtick as much as everyone else at some point you cross the fine line into making it look like you want to do the guy!

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XX: Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right.

I was laughing. If anyone is taking these things seriously....

A concern for your side would be the apparent lack of enthusiasm for your candidate vs. tD. Pictures I see of rallys has tD with large crowds and HRC with very small crowds.

Gary Hart was on the McGovern campaign team and used to talk about the "crowd fallacy." In 1972 most of the McGovern staff was convinced on Election Night that he was going to win because he had had rock star crowds while Nixon had had small, subdued crowds.

I'm not concerned about anything except polling, and right now polling looks great. The question is are we seeing a real adjustment as people recognize how horrific Trump is, or are we just in another swing of the yoyo (what do yoyos do?, they don't "swing," they go up and down, what is that cycle called?) that will inevitably correct.
