Re: Campaign 2016 Part XVIII: I'm OK, You're Deplorable

No, it really isn't. Politics is what we make it. If the system sucks, we suck. So make it better.

This is entertaining, but unless you're 16 and have no dependents or anything you are responsible for or give a crap about, it's not something adults should do. Nihilism is for cosplay, not real life.

A middle finger is not profound or honorable. It's lazy and unimaginative. And in this case it's dangerous.

If you want to vote for the guy because of partisanship, fine, go do that. But don't sell this as some sort of hard scrabble rebellion. It's just a bunch of idiots who lack the courage and/or intelligence to actually work for a real difference.

Some men just want to watch the world burn.

“You might have noticed that I never complain about politicians. I leave that to others. And there’s no shortage of volunteers; everyone complains about politicians. Everyone says they suck. But where do people think these politicians come from? They don’t fall out of the sky; they don’t pass through a membrane from a separate reality. They come from American homes, American families, American schools, American churches, and American businesses. And they’re elected by American voters. This is what our system produces, folks. This is the best we can do. Let’s face it, we have very little to work with. Garbage in, garbage out. So maybe it’s not the politicians who suck; maybe it’s something else. Like the public. That would be a nice realistic campaign slogan for somebody: “The public sucks. Elect me.” Put the blame where it belongs: on the people. Because if everything is really the fault of politicians, where are all the bright, honest, intelligent Americans who are ready to step in and replace them? Where are these people hiding? The truth is, we don’t have people like that. Everyone’s at the mall, scratching his balls and buying sneakers with lights in them. And complaining about the politicians.”
-George Carlin

This "All politicians suck" meme people are using today isnt innovative or rebellious, it is the same lazy rhetoric people have used for decades.

You people really do need to relax a little.

Psssst..... Johnson / Weld

the political equivalent of "sending thoughts and prayers". Not going to accomplish a **** thing, except make you feel better about yourself.

Johnson knows he isn't going to win. I doubt he believes half of the libertarian bull **** he says (and it is bull **** that no sane person would actually believe). He's saying it because running on the libertarian ticket every 4 years is his new career.

As a third party supporter I would like to think Johnson was a good choice...but then I ask myself if I would vote for him if he was the GOP nominee and the answer is no. My guess is eric is the same way. If that is the case I wont vote for him just BECAUSE he is a third party candidate that is is irresponsible and foolish.

The story of this campaign and the things Trump supporters will accept as true will have it own chapter in the next book about dissonance theory.

I can't wait for the "Deplorables" to print t-shirts with "Dissonant" on them.

Stop Me When You Heard This...The IRS Says Drumpf is Lying

"The taxpayer controls his returns. There’s nothing in an IRS audit process generally that would keep you from sharing that information generally, any way you wanted to.
It would be rare for someone to be audited every year, and that someone would not undergo another audit for a few years, two or three at least.”

Mr. Transparency...

Of course he's lying. He's always lying. The reason he doesn't want to release them is because he knows it will cost him the election. Great strategery on his part and the American People will ultimately let him get away with it.

I thought GW was teflon, but Trump takes the cakse.

Yeah, that George Washington, he could get away with anything. :D

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XVIII: I'm OK, You're Deplorable

I honestly think Drumpfers like him BECAUSE he lies. They like he doesnt even hide it or try to defend he just lies and moves on and they love him for it.

George Carlin said:
In ’96, Dole tried to hide his bull****, and he lost. He kept saying, “I’m a plain and honest man.” People don’t believe that. What did Clinton say? He said, “Hi folks! I’m completely full of ****, and how do you like that?” And the people said, “You know what? At least he’s honest. At least he’s honest about being completely full of ****.”

I guess the shoe's on the other foot now?
