Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

So would it be a snarky comment if Hillary suggested to China to hack into Trump's e-mails, and dig up hidden bankruptcy rulings?

Or would Hillary be accused of aiding our massive economic rival?

Not saying it's treasonous, but to suggest that our #1 historic security rival for close to 100 years hack any politician's system is pretty crappy. Since words matter, it certainly tells me that he has no perspective of the world situation. What so ever.
All y'all realize he ain't asking the government

There are millions of enterprising solo hackers out there making a living far removed from government hierarchy

Geez Louise

"Russia, if you're listening..." is an awfully strange way to address solo hackers, unaffiliated with the government.

So he's begging people from another country to brake the law. Unless it's legal to hack someone's computer.

How can anyone just pass this as an innocent thing? What's next?

And what I read, he wasn't specific- again, being a President means words matter. So is he asking the Russian government or some Russian hacker group? Does it really matter? Asking for someone to hack into someone else just because you disagree with them... you've got to be kidding.

Then again, tDon is a thug. Which I have to post now, as if he get's to be the prez, I'm sure the NSA will be all over that to squash our speech.

Trump is a child.

And dangerous as a result.

Virgilio Gonzalez, James McCord and Eugenio Martinez are still alive. Maybe give them a call.

G. Gordon's still upright too, if they need a mission desk.

The First Lady's speech was awesome, but the President's speech was epic.

I didn't read his exact words yet, and I'm guessing this wasn't his intent (because of his ego/style/etc), but he should have phrased it as a dare, to make it look like the US can't be hacked by them (which is false, as has been proven). It would have looked a LOT better.

Repeated from below:

His direct quote was "They probably have her 33,000 emails, too. I hope they do." He later added, "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you'll probably be rewarded mightily by our press."

That wasn't a dare, he was actively soliciting a foreign government to interfere in the election because he thinks it would help him.

Lets Just Tag Them So We Can Keep Tabs

Apparently Rudy G wants any Muslim o the Terror Watch List to be physically monitored 24/7 with tracking devices...nope cant see any potential problems here at all...isnt the GOP supposed to support less Government intrusion? Why is it ok to do this but again putting together a list for the use of stopping gun sales to the wrong people is bad. The GOP is braindead and their nominee/his advisers are all the proof you need.

Ok, thank you for the direct quote, and yeah, that is NOT good.

To paraphrase Colbert: maybe they can be bipartisan and offer up Trump's tax returns while they're at it?

Let's say it was only a dare. Even at that it's a monumentally childish comment to make from the endorsed candidate of a major political party running for the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. This isn't a backyard game that's being played, but too many people sitting out there are treating this as if it's a Tarantino movie with no real world implications. S**t it's not even Tarantino, it's Sharknado 5. Even at it's least ridiculous connotation it's pathetic, but when taken in actual context it's dangerous. Unfortunately there are too many eating it up as gospel, while too many others just shrug it off as no big deal.

Could someone explain to me why y'all're more concerned about the source of the leaked e-mails than what the e-mails uncovered?

Re: Campaign 2016 Part XV: Before & After: Dancing in the Streets of Philadelphia!

Obama's defense of republicanism against the rise of Caesarism:

America is already great. America is already strong. And I promise you, our strength, our greatness, does not depend on Donald Trump.

In fact, it doesn’t depend on any one person. And that, in the end, may be the biggest difference in this election – the meaning of our democracy.

Ronald Reagan called America “a shining city on a hill.” Donald Trump calls it “a divided crime scene” that only he can fix. It doesn’t matter to him that illegal immigration and the crime rate are as low as they’ve been in decades, because he’s not offering any real solutions to those issues. He’s just offering slogans, and he’s offering fear. He’s betting that if he scares enough people, he might score just enough votes to win this election.

That is another bet that Donald Trump will lose. Because he’s selling the American people short. We are not a fragile or frightful people. Our power doesn’t come from some self-declared savior promising that he alone can restore order. We don’t look to be ruled. Our power comes from those immortal declarations first put to paper right here in Philadelphia all those years ago; We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that together, We, the People, can form a more perfect union.

That’s who we are. That’s our birthright – the capacity to shape our own destiny.

And:

Democracy works, but we gotta want it – not just during an election year, but all the days in between.
