Johnson / Weld each meet the criteria that I look for in a President: former Governor. That best tells me how they can operate as Chief Executive of a governmental entity. Johnson left NM with a surplus; Weld, as an R, could get things done in Massachusetts.

One way to move towards that world is to start to vote some libertarians into office.

Race relations have not gotten worse, they've only gotten attention. We are 2 stages into the 5 stages of grief over the existence of widespread racism in law enforcement and other public institutions. We were able to maintain Denial for decades until the election of a black president brought the issue to the surface. We are now in Anger. Still to come: Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance.

Really? Slavery, the Civil War, Reconstruction, the Ku Klux Klan, "separate but equal", lynchings, the Tulsa Race Riot, "segregation now, segregation forever!", Watts, the assassination of MLK, the crack epidemic, the "war on drugs", the Rodney King riots and this is the worst?
