What the media choses to cover and what people actually care about is a large, large difference. Uncle Walter Kronkite isn't walking through that door.
To your 3rd point, Clinton has probably correctly reached the Fuk It point, where anything she does will somehow become the target of a right wing investigation, so as long as she's not actually doing anything illegal who cares? There's always going to be investigations. Too many people get or make too much money not to do so. This is starting to look like the travel office firings "scandal" or the hit list that turned out to be a Christmas card list investigation. All nonsense, but designed to trap willing dupes like you! MSNBC is probably a fair indicator of where Hillary's audience is at. Older, more establishment, with some conservative cross-marketing (Joe) mixed in.
The closest liberals have to a news network in the US is John Oliver, Larry Wilmore, and Trevor Noah. The "media mother bird flies back to her nest and vomits pre-digested news into her hatchlings' mouths" model is irrelevant for anyone under 50 who lives in a town with more than 100 black people.
