Campaign 2016 Part, let's say, X: There's a red moon rising On the Cuyahoga River

Re: Campaign 2016 Part, let's say, X: There's a red moon rising On the Cuyahoga River

The problem with that is nobody would be able to tell the difference. The things his camp does, the happenings at his rally events, and quotes coming from his mouth are already just the many facets of a giant caricature of a political campaign.

My point. The beauty of a "good" April Fool's Day joke is when you can't quite tell at first blush that it is one. Coming from the Onion (a known source of satire), providing factual reporting on Trump would carry out the same script by flipping it. It would read just like their usual bizarrity until you googled it.

Have you met this man? I assume Hillary has a side wilder than mookie, or anybody, can even imagine.

It took me a full minute and a half to find the former POTUS hidden in that photo's background.

March was better than February.

Bernie Sanders broke his monthly fundraising record in March, pulling in more than $44 million, his campaign announced Friday following the midnight filing deadline with the Federal Election Commission.

"What this campaign is doing is bringing together millions of people contributing an average of just $27 each to take on a billionaire class which is so used to buying elections,” Sanders said in a statement released through the campaign. “Working people standing together are going to propel this campaign to the Democratic nomination and then the White House."

The total broke Sanders' record of $43.5 million set in February, bringing the Vermont senator's total for the first quarter to $109 million. According to the campaign, Sanders has received more than 6.5 million individual contributions from 2 million donors.

I think Mookie was implying that Hillary don't play that way. She'd rather hang at the sushi bar.

Doubt she even fishes off that pier. Hilly strikes Mookie as asexual, due to her annoying the chit outta everyone.

(As in a dog wouldn't even lick her snatch if she spread peanut butter all over it :( )

Don't worry Hillary those Sanders people are just a bunch of pot smoking hippies hurr hurr... they'll never get their act toget-- wait? What? Oh sh-t!

BTW, the Sanders emails are great. Every time Hillary has one of her $100k to poop on a plate dinners with some Hollywood a-hole, his campaign challenges his small contributors to match and exceed her take with their $30 donations. So during the three hours she spends buttering up corporate buttholes in Atherton his campaign is actually out-raising her, plus getting word out to millions while she fellates tens.

Which would all be great if he was winning. Recall, Jebbers! Bush raised a lot of money too.

From 2 super PACs, not 2 million voters.

Don't worry, Rover. The arc of the moral universe is slow enough that the Carpetbagger may still eek it out.

Kep I'm not worried at all. A fair race has been run and Bernie is losing. Not too much more complicated than that. I recall him holding big rallies in Ohio and Florida as well. How did those states turn out again? :D

Sanders just has a bit more electoral risk due to policy and being a Vermont vs. a national candidate that Hillary is (oh and minorities).

Either D is fine. Just get the party united.

If Her Royal Clintoness loses NY - did she blow her second 2nd half lead? I can't see the Establishment embracing the Bern. Do they send her to Plum Island on a campaign stop and forget to send the boats back to retrieve her and bring in Joe in his White Amtrak car?

Agreed. I never understood why Sanders supporters seem to think their votes count more than anybody else's. If Hillary needs the youth vote, doesn't Sanders also need to minority vote just as much? I mean, everybody counts as one vote, right? People going to Sanders rallies don't count at 3 votes I don't think. Hillary's campaign has gone a lot easier on Bernie's team than visa versa. Can you imagine the outrage if her campaign had hacked into his campaign database, snooped around for an hour, and downloaded his information?

They won't do that if they're smart. This is the year of the anti-establishment candidate. I adore Handsome Joe but he's about as anti-establishment as U.S. Steel.

If it comes down to Sanders-Drumpf, Bernie will win in a rout, holding all the Democrats and probably stealing a fair number of Drumpf supporters who get sick of his shtick. Then Bernie will only be able to enact what moderates agree to, which won't be strange at all since he's been able to govern effectively as a moderate in the past. So there's no reason to screw him if he's in a position to win.

If Clinton somehow creaks across the finish line, she'll be fine in the fall too. Bernie's people are motivated by a very strong reaction against the arch-finkery of the right, so they'll come out. And a woman running against Drumpf will create a gender gap so wide half the GOP Senate may fall into it.

eke it out. Eek is the sound Veronica Lodge makes when she hears a Sanders speech.

Oh sh-t, I did not know that. Thank you!

If Hillary is going to win. Fine. If Sanders comes back and wins. Fine.

I'd prefer neither were attacked. And I would say as Hillary is in the lead, there's just more Sanders supporters attacking Hillary than vice versa. That's where I have a tendency to side with Rover in this discussion.
