Campaign Quote of the Day.

"I think I'd be a lot more upset that women are going to get a lot more abortions if we don't close our border with Mexico," (Ann) Coulter told MSNBC regarding Trump's comments on outlawing abortion.

No, I don't think so.

You've been right about everything else regarding the candidates during this primary season, so I'm going to trust you and take your word for it.

How is this a problem when it has been the demographic for years? When you have no money you vote D. Once you get money you vote R.

What about limousine liberals like myself? :D

Don't get the notion that Trump can't salt this away ahead of time. He's going to kick arse once the states turn to the northeast where Calgary Ted has little appeal. If he crushes it there he's right back on track.

Good win by Bernie, but netting like 10 delegates ain't gonna get the job done. At this point he'll catch her in time for her re-election campaign in 2020. ;)

Bernie is interjecting doubt among the Dems that the Heir Apparent may not be a suitable Queen. More blows like this and the Crown Princess is going to throw a nutty on national TV that will force the nobles to send her to the Tower.

I think she may end up losing the nomination but even I'm not silly enough to believe your premise.

If I were you joe, I'd worry about your own house first. ;) Trump or Cruz. Pick your poison. :D

She Who Must Be Dismayed is pretty close to the end of her rope as it is. Maybe Bernie doesn't have to wait for an indictment; maybe the men with the butterfly nets will get her first. :p

Honestly, I don't blame her. How many of us could survive 300 million people yelling HOW MANY WAYS CAN WE TELL YOU WE DON'T WANT YOU! twice in 100 months?

Hey-you guys have been throwing stones at my house, too!

I hope that the GOP delegates, on the 45th ballot, decide on an electable candidate.

Breitbart also made strange and unconnected claims about Ryan and Muslims, writing that "as a result of unbridled Muslim migration into the United States, more than 2,100 U.S. girls in Wisconsin — the state represented by Ryan — are at-risk of suffering the anti-Western practice Female Genital Mutilation, according to the Population Reference Bureau (PRB)."

Holy moley this is getting really nasty (not to mention the incredible amount of race-baiting being done by Breitbart and their ilk). And we're still 3.5 months away from the convention.

Got approached to teach a class in politics and policy (related to public health) in the Fall. Yeah. That would be a very wild ride this yr.

Though suicide is painless, it brings on many changes...

I know you do not agree, but frankly I can only hope such changes bring about a more socially liberal bent to the Rs. Though I think we can agree that divorcing them from their ugly marriage to the military-industrial complex is a must. Sadly, I have concluded it's a false hope for at least one more generation. Until the Republicans wake up and smell the coffee, I think we're well on track for another 1932-1968 period of Democratic domination. TBH, if it weren't for the term limits Constitutionally imposed in 1951, I think Obama would be running again, and would quite likely get a third term.

Arguably, the Clinton Borg is doing just that.

Obama is the first two-termer in my lifetime who I don't think would run again if given the chance. He seems sick to death of the monsters on the right and the fainting old women on the left.

For now the GOP House is likely safe barring a landslide. There are simply too many incumbents dug in too deeply from gerrymandering and the extremism of the constituents themselves. But if Hillary wins and we do get a sane SCOTUS with the temerity to rightly strike down the GOP's various schemes and scams to disenfranchise and hand government to their corporate friends, then the GOP will have to change or be reduced to a regional party representing the gradually evaporating cesspools of the far right.
