He's not a bully. He's a dictator. He is coming off more and more like a Hitler-type figure every day. They way he talks to the crowd. How he gets them to do increasingly disturbing things without even directly telling them to do these things.

This is a dangerous, dangerous man.

This is getting downright scary...we joke and talk about how funny it is and how much entertainment is to come but this is starting to pass beyond that into the realm of the horrid. The more we sensationalize this, the worse it is going to get.

The Trump thing stopped being funny about 6 months ago.

Dangerous man for sure.

The crowd pathos is scaring the 5hit out of me. They posted vids of this happening at the Tsongas. Mild compared to some of what we see on the news but to know this sort of person is in my backyard is really creepy. This is the first election in a long time where I have no preconceived notion of who I want to vote for. I went into primary season with a completely open mind. At this point, even if he said everything I believed in I couldn't vote for him

We rail against tD, but why is he leading? Don't start the canard that the GOP voters are idiots. Something is broken that allowed a tD to run a (so far) successful campaign.

What is it?

GOP has been pandering to the racist nut jobs and now it bit them in the ***

Have you seen the people at these rallies? It may be just as easy as they're idiots.

The old George Carlin joke: "Think about how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are stupider than that!"

Trump has awoken some silent beast of people who don't usually vote, pandering to them with generalities and talk of no substance. He's making politics for the common man. Before this year pretty much all debates were considered boring by the population. All of a sudden the GOP ones have become must see TV, and it's not because they're having great talks on policy.

Why does First Take get better ratings than Outside the Lines? Why does Big Bang Theory average ten times the viewers Breaking Bad did? People don't like to think, Trump makes politics seem easy and that getting stuff done is as easy as talking tough.

The GOP (and some Indy and even Dem I suppose) voters he is appealing to are idiots. There's nothing difficult to explain going on. Parties in the past (the Democrats until the 60s, the Republicans since then) have winked at these trogs but then always betrayed them in office. The trogs got tired of being betrayed. Now there's a guy who they think will actually do what he promises.

There is nothing inherently idiotic about either liberalism or conservatism. Either side can either take the high road or the low road. The right has been pushing the cart down the low road more and more for decades, with the cart picking up speed and becoming uncontrollable in the last decade.

Finally, the cart has broken loose.

I was half joking with my coworkers the other day that tDonald is trolling America. It's alla "conspiracy" to get Jesse Ventura into office. Remember back when he said that he would consider being VP if someone like Drumpf, Cruz or Bernie got the nomination? So, Drumpf will pick him (or some other non-politician, the example I gave was Vince McMahon :D), get the nomination, somehow win, and then resign the day after he gets inaugurated, thus leaving us with a Ventura or McMahon presidency.

I'm gonna pop this thought bubble right now. Vince McMahon is not touching anything Drumpf with a 50 foot pole. Being associated with him would be, to use their line, "bad for business." Look what happened when Hulk Hogan's racist rant became public.

tDonald is Andrew Jackson. But he won't get as far as Old Hickory did, and hopefully has a somewhat less violent temper.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

And if HRC had any hope of winning West Virginia, it just went out the window.

@jbarro: Hillary: "We're going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business."

I think that's going to be in a few ads.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

Context matters.

btw she is going to eat Trump for lunch when they finally debate.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

So how long before some Trump nut job starts shooting people at a Bernie rally?

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

His supporters won't go to Bernie's rallies because they expect him to lose to Hillary in the primaries.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

People who don't like Drumpf are making a mistake in debasing his supporters, dehumanizing them. Political opponents do it to one another's supporters all the time. They're not a unified bloc, rather they're as varied as any other group. While there certainly exists groups within Drumpf's base that would disrupt Bernie's rallies, that same subset of people would have been of a mind to do it prior to his urging, they just need that extra incentive to know they're not alone.

We've already seen reports of Drumpf's supporters being attacked outside his rallies, likely justified to themselves upon the perverted idea of retribution for their fellow anti-Drumpf supporters who've gone into the rallies to voice their opposition and received beatings as a result, it doesn't make their acts any better.

The 2016 election cycle has already turned into a ****storm, and we're nowhere near the generals yet. People are scared on both sides of the aisle, for a whole host of reasons, and it's only going to get worse before it gets any better at all.
