I have zero doubts that a signinificant percentage of the knuckle-draggers you hear vocalizing they're on the high road by denouncing Trump will suck it up Buttercup come election time and vote to keep The Shrill from the Oval Office.. Might be enough but I think some of your really underestimate how loathe some so many fine her to be.

Someone needs to change mine the Christie standing behind Trump clip with Eminem's appearance on College Gameday or whatever. :)

Maybe the first US presidential election with two ancient Egypt references.

My God. I can think of three people on my own block who would make more stable choices for POTUS than that field of crazies. But I"m sure we could all say that, and the minute those three sane people found it necessary to appeal to the band of crazies who appear to have commandeered the bridge of that ship, they would all be saying the same idiotic shat for fear of being thrown overboard.

I say "appear to" because it is still difficult, even at this point in the campaign, to believe the majority of Republicans, even those who call themselves social conservatives, really think they cannot do much better than Trump, Cruz, or Rubio.

That implies that MSNBC was in the tank for Sanders, and has given up on him. None of which is even close to true. They've been ready to anoint Queen Hillary for 8 years.

It'll be the Chomskyite wing of the Democrats that get the dry heaves over Sanders' eventual withdrawal, it's just being dragged out a big longer than it should be. Not that I mind.
Thats why I said, oh wait, Sanders has gotten nothing from the MSM, its Hilary all the way

Oh, bull. MSNBC has a pretty even split throughout the day of Sanders/Clinton supporters. If anything with the New York Times, MSNBC has done a lot of reporting on the Email story with Mrs. Clinton and it hasn't all been positive.

Meanwhile Fox News is in complete meltdown over their party being taken over by Trump.

Yup. Besides aren't MSNBC and CNN down to friends and family for viewers at this point? Hardly decisive in a primary contest...

In catering towards the fringe, the networks have killed the middle. Oh it exists, but you're not getting on prime time if you're a moderate. Screaming lunatic means ratings points.

"Network" was prophetic.

This isn't directed at you personally, but cable news, network news, and Sunday talk shows are now exclusively for old people. If you aren't 65+, don't bother watching. Ex-Lax, Depends, and Ben-Gay are the biggest sponsors. It used to be The Scooter Store until they got put out of business by the Feds due to Medicare fraud.

Why else would these shows wheel out John McCain's corpse again, and again, and again, and again. Its not moderates these shows are looking for. Its people who look like their audience.

I was going to say no one looks like tD but then I thought of one of my patients who has the mother of all comb-over. The only thing tD is missing to match this guy is a bunch of heavy gold necklaces. (I repeat my recurring wish- someone PLEEEEEEASE drench his head. I soooo want to see what is under that comb-over!)

Anecdotally, to the >65 comment- my father worked in gubermint at a high level, was in military, and previously someone who was very suspicious of all info on TV believes everything Faux news spews. He is convinced we will have Sharia law in 30 yrs and that every Muslim <55yo is radicalized. Far as I know he does not have diminished capacity (other than an explainable blind belief in the GOP). I would have bet my life he would never baa like a sheep until the last few yrs. No amount of fact checking is changing his mind.

Its funny to see pundidiotry speculate that Trump has tapped into a whole new bunch of voters. He's done nothing of the sort. Its the same people who thought Sarah Palin was a good idea, and who made the McCain rallies towards the end of the campaign in 2008 feel like Klan rallies. What he's done is gotten these people who usually sit out the primaries to show up under the guise the GOP has been playing them for suckers. Well, in that regard he's correct. So instead of being given a nominee they're going to take the time to participate in the selection process. There's nothing wrong with that, except that Trump has exposed once and for all what you're saying, which is there's a lot of dark thoughts lurking in the minds of the majority of conservatives, especially older ones. Trump is just bringing it to the forefront.

Heard a piece of the speech Romney made re tD. Very articulate and intelligent sounding until the end. Like he was talking to 2 different audiences- the educated who wanted intellectual reasoning why tD was bad and then climbed into the gutter with name calling to please the dirty masses.

If I didn't see what he did to my state I would think he should run for prez

In future TV will be Close Captioned for the Stupid. Right now you have to switch over to Fox for that feed.
