Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

In reality the field is 1, Hilary, the status quo will continue on.

She was a lock in '08 too. Enthusiasm gap is huge right now. No one is voting on the Dem side while people are coming out in droves on the GOP side. She'll find a way to lose.

True. My extremely Catholic brother-in-law and his wife practice the Natural Family Planning method, which they argue isn't "birth control" because they're not impeding pregnancy...:confused:
Weeeeel, if the 2 components cannot meet to create a life then you are OK. Pre-cana they called it Vatican Roulette

I know, it really sucks that the top 2 right now are Cruz and Trump...how laughable is out political system that the top 2 candidates in our two biggest parties are Donald Drumpf, Ted Cruz, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders? No one in their right mind wants to run for president and I have no idea how to fix that.
Deeply cynical here. No ability to compromise, create coalitions, have a cohesive agenda. The congress is completely inert and unproductive. NO cohesive agenda from either party. The Senate is not far behind. The Judicial branch is now also inert- 4-4 (I suppose this works for those who want the judiciary to reflect local beliefs rather than collective beliefs re the constitution) the Presidency is inert- who ever they are the legislative branch is so self absorbed they will not be able to move forward with anything proposed. No matter who gets in the country is now organized anarchy. An infrastructure that is like an old operating system- no updates, no fixes. RUn until it falls over on itself and then oooops!!

I never thought Bush could get reelected after Iraq. I was wrong. Trump could actually win.
If enough people believe he won't make it I think it is quite possible he makes it.

Hanging tonight’s loss solely on Rubio is like blaming the ventriloquist’s dummy when his jaw gets termites.

Jesus, that is so cold I put on a jacket here.

As for Trump, the burglar is no longer in the house. He torched it, and now he’s standing at the curb watching it burn and wearing your wife’s fur coat.

Jesus, God.

C'mon, the Dems ran a bigger idiot than Bush, the same thing the Repubs are doing now to Hilary. Hard to imagine a bigger ****** than Hilary but its apparently possible

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

It does look like it. Hello Justice Obama?

That would be awesome, talk radio would would kiss her butt for that, can you imagine the money made off that.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

Doesn't matter. That was the election when I realized no matter how bad it is it can always get worse. There is no excuse for Dubya's re-election. The Dems could have run Pinhead from Hellraiser and still should have won. No excuse. Dubya shouldn't have carried one state after we Knew.

From the department of scumbags fighting other scumbags, watch JPod wriggle on the hook as he realizes Bibi and AIPAC have lost the GOP.

It is glorious to watch the war on Monster Island. Only one thing could be better:

no survivors.

Everyone go to Vegas and bet...Scooby hasnt been right once since 2009 ;)

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

Can you imagine how much they would have shunned their VP if he went rogue and publicly came out for something they had been wishy washy about (like Biden did for gay rights) before you had a chance to "evolve" on the issue?

I believe that was The Plan. You hang Joltin' Joe out there and if it fizzles, no harm. If it's a hit then you reluctantly "evolve." Remember, at that time blacks were even more homophobic than rural whites. They have the fundy disease, too. When that occurred it struck me as a classic trial balloon, and one of the few uses a vice president actually has.

I dont think so, but even if it was The Clintons would never make that move either. No one gets spotlight over Bubba or his Robot ;)

With your record, you just locked it up for her. :)

I think this is a mistake. The Clintons are not about fame or acclaim or praise, they are about Power. The Clintons are not human beings, they are an incarnation of Machiavellian and Hobbesian principles in the physical plane. Fame and praise are human needs.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

BWAAA HAA HAAAAA! Everything going according to Plan. Best Super Tuesday EVAH!!!

My thoughts:

1) Once again congrats on new front-runner Marco Rubio! He's really made it a race with that one victory! Did I say that right Wolf? Seriously Rubio needs to drop out of the race if he's serious about stopping Trump. He has no appeal. At least Calgary Ted won the state he represents, the state next door, and the state next to the country that he's from. ;) That next GOP debate is going to be great. Pipsqueak Rubio will be nipping at Trump's heels only to get swatted like a little dog when Trump drops the Super Tuesday results on him.

2) Nice job by Hillary. Very good victory speech as well. Really ran up the delegate count which is the whole point (and one that eluded her people in 2008) and put the race pretty much out of reach although Sanders has every right to stick around. I think Bernie was really ill served by his campaign. They're putting out press releases about raising 40M bucks in the days before getting crushed in Texas, which will net Hillary a gain of 100+ delegates. Um, guys, if raising money won you votes we'd be talking about President Jebbers! right now. Don't understand why you'd make a play for OK but not try to narrow the TX loss.

Massachusetts was also a symbolic victory. Sanders had a decent way of framing the race as "I'm winning the Dem and swing states". He's now lost IA, NV, MA and VA so that argument goes out the window.

3) Too many nervous nellies out here. Confronted with a choice between Hillary and Trump, if Sanders voters vote Trump or don't vote they're fuking idiots. Hillary and Bernie agree on 90% of the issues. Bernie and Trump? Yeah... I'm thinking a Lizzy Warren endorsement goes a long way here, as well as a Bernie endorsement if he decides to give one.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. There is no way Kerry was a bigger idiot than Bush. Kerry just wasn't "folksy". The bigger idiots were the people that bought into the swiftboating and elected a moron for a second time.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

maybe a Donald Drumpf nomination is just what the Republican party needs to realize that they're completely off the rails, not that it would change anything because people still have to want to run for office...and that pool is just too tainted (pretty much on all sides).

People are idiots. That gives us plenty of reason to be nervous. Some people have a insane hatred of Hillary that is not based on reality, but like their hatred of Obama it is based mostly on right wing talk radio brainwashing (See Walrus). Sure, she is a power-hungry politician, and I'm not in love with her, but she'll be a hell of a lot better than any of those morons the GOP could put up. They don't see that though.

I'm certain Bernie will endorse Hillary. The last thing he wants is one of those GOP nutjobs in the whitehouse. That's why he ran as a Democrat.

Of course anyone that wanted Bernie and ends up voting for Trump over Hillary is a complete idiot.

The Republican base is off the rails. This is what they want.

As in the majority? I disagree, Trump isn't winning majorities...If depth of the field is killing everyone but Trump...
