How can that possibly happen, they sniff, since that's not what the Republican party stood for in 1980.

Yeah, that's not what it stood for in 1980, when Reagan started his campaign in Philadelphia, MS, where 3 civil rights workers were killed 16 years earlier by the KKK in conjunction with the local police.

Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball. It may very well be true that a third of the country is Neo-Nazis. If the price of realizing that is them getting power, I'd rather be blissfully unaware and have them be forced back into their spiderholes.

Anybody ever stop to think these creeps never before knew how many of them there were or how widely spread over the entire nation they are? It's not the Machines becoming self-aware that we should be afraid of...

Nice.

Donald Trump’s campaign is denying having told the Secret Service to remove 30 black students from a Monday rally they were attempting to attend quietly and peacefully, but Secret Service agents say they kicked out the students at Trump’s request.

The sight of the students, who were visibly upset, being led outside by law enforcement officials created a stir at a university that was a whites-only campus until 1963.

“We didn’t plan to do anything,” said a tearful Tahjila Davis, a 19-year-old mass media major, who was among the Valdosta State University students who was removed. “They said, 'This is Trump’s property; it’s a private event.' But I paid my tuition to be here.” [...]

“I don’t understand why they would do something like that,” Davis said. “I have not experienced any racism on this campus until now.”

I think a little sunlight makes the roaches scatter. I read once that widespread reporting on the Klan is what finally broke it (until now I guess). The secret handshakes and sayings and all that prospered when it was done out of public view. An undercover reporter joined and published how the whole thing operated and that was that.

The problem with letting an empty suit like Marco Rubio become President is it allows these people to keep doing what they're doing with the perfect cover for them. "Hey look, we elected a Cuban guy! We're not racists after all even if we continue to pursue policies to that effect." No thanks. As I wrote before, Trump is putting white privilege front and center even though I doubt he personally cares that much about the issue (he's a salesman selling a product, and any good saleman has to be able to sell something even if he doesn't believe in it).

During times of economic hardships, we know that people change their political affiliations and ideas. It's just a matter of how, because different groups will go off in wildly different ideologies, and some of those are going to be fairly scary to different segments of the population at large. While the GDP has been growing, people's wages have stagnated for so long that we're likely seeing the changes propagate up to the surface in the primaries' results.

Someone probably posted this link before but here it is again http://www.isidewith.com/
if you look at all the potential answers, rate the importance it is a great tool. I had never scrolled to the bottom of results page- it tells you where you fit in politically (I am not living in the right place), has a bar graph for what each candidate agrees with you on. Actually helped me make a decision of as lil les put it which buffoon is the least buffoon-like

I was in most disagreement with the maniac. I had done this earlier in the year but only filled in yes or no. When I did that the results were different. THere are people about the maniac that I have never heard of. Also my place on the libertarian, left, right, authoritarian graph changed from the last election. Probably in reaction to the choices presented.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

.88 for both Hillary and Bernie! How's that for a corporate sellout!?!?! :D

Sanders 86, Clinton 83. Rubio was the highest R at 54

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

Hillary and Bernie at 97/96, bunch of people in the middle, Carly and Trump at the bottom. Sounds about right.

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

Laura Ingraham looks at Drumpf, looks at Rubio, does a double shot of tequila and says "eff it!"

86% with Gary Johnson, least amount with Hilary, I'm shocked :)

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

97 Bernie
94 Jill Stein
93 Hillary

41 Trump, scarily
31 Kasich
Rest of the remaining R's are in the teens

Re: Campaign 2016 - in bridge, the trump cards are really wild.

I took a quiz a few days ago. I didn't bother adjusting the "importance" of a lot of the issues. I got this:

98% Bernie
95% Jill Stein
92% Hillary
77% Bloomberg
63% Gary Johnson
31% Trump
17% Carson
13% Cruz
