Pretty much nobody on this forum counts, unless we have some folks from Ohio. Maybe Colorado. No other college hockey states should be in play.

Well people move ya know ;)

Iowa here.

I literally never said that, I never even said Obama's name...I would ask you try to reading it again but you ignore anything that doesnt prove your new narrative. I think I liked it better when you were telling us Walker was gonna win ;)

He is.

NH should be included, you're right. NH is a kind of bellwhether, too -- if it goes red that means the GOP has not just gotten out its base but also made inroads among non-Dixiecans.

Why Walker? Koch money?

Koch
Governor of a Blueish/Purplish State
Big Win against Public Unions
Psychotic on Abortion and Taxes
Not a part of Washington
Loves War and all that goes with it.

He's got it all.

That's a good resume for the nomination, but it doesn't reach far past the GOP core. If you're Walker, how do you win the general?

Allow Hillary to destroy herself. Pick up the scraps. White House. It's not that hard.

Jindal is getting in today. That helps Walker.

It might be worth it to see how bad Rover would self destruct ;)

But Walker isnt even winning his party nomination. If he has any skeletons he is screwed. He cant "aww shucks" them away like some of the other crazies running.

He doesn't. While I like most people like to make fun of the man, George W Bush's campaigning skills are vastly underrated. Most likely because once he became President he had trouble doing anything right. :D However, he could convince the social conservatives he was one of them and then turn around and reassure the swing voters that while he personally was a fundie he didn't plan on changing gubmint policy to fit his views.

That's a fine line to walk and I'm not sure Walker has the skills to do that. Really the GOP would be better off nominating Kasich who comes from a more vital swing state, really the most crucial one after Florida, and has a record more appealing to the general electorate.

Bingo...Bush could pander with the best of them and played the game well. (look what he did to McCain in South Carolina which all but destroyed his campaign) His skeletons were ignored. Walker doesnt have those campaigning skills so he will have to defend his record...which stinks.

Not to mention, he isnt going to bring Wisconsin with him, and even if he did that is not some big gain. It was like the pundits saying McCain should have TPaw as his running mate...Minnesota still goes blue and if they dont by some miracle it is all of ten points.

When we get closer to the debates you will see the GOP start to eat their young and all the redacted stuff about each candidate will come out. Hillary wont even have to write campaign ads they will do it for her. That party has no leader and no coalition it is every base for itself!

Yeah, but no one talks about Walker's record. Even the Liberal press doesn't shred it. He jumps in garbage and comes out cleaner than a newborn kitten time after time after time. You underestimate how truly nefarious, psychotic, and stealth his political skills really are.

They will when he is running for president. They used to let Hillary skate on this stuff too but when you are the nominee (or the lock for it) all eyes are on you. Has Walker even declared yet? Walker is as boring as Gore was and cant think on his feet at all. Bush could make some sly comment, get the reporter laughing and it as over.

Walker will win the Romney states but no one will see what he did to business and education in Wisconsin and go "I want that here!". Even small government GOPers (not in Kansas) should be like "whatever his ideas are obviously stink!". Hell even his home state party are starting to turn on him.

Debates could end up being a bloodbath. For the most part the people running for Prez (Cruz, Paul, Walker) aren't team players, and you have two guys from the same state (Bush, Rubio) who HAVE to knock the other one off early. Add to that the single issue candidates (Graham on how the Iraq War was a swell idea, Paul & his black helicopter theories) and let the games begin. In a two person race (Obama-Hillary) you don't need to be outrageous to get attention. In a 20 candidate race, you really need to start lobbing some bombs when you get your 5 minutes on stage.
