We need you a little more naughty executive and a little less cheeky Young Republican, sweetie. Those days are gone.

I can't even tell any more if you guys are joking. You were joking, right Mr. Progressive? Did you hear any of the words that came out?

I think the CW was if you call out Trump you're playing his game. Trump also was a random element that would derail the stuff they drilled all week to memorize.

Speaking of which, I actually thought Rubio was terrible -- he sounded the most rehearsed and banal of everybody.

Those aren't words, geezer. Those are the inchoate yearnings of a febril want. They know no rules.

OK I gotcha, pardon my prissiness earlier.

I loved the viewer forum Fox Opinion Channel had with people that watched the debate. Every person in the room couldn't stop gushing about how smart, articulate and compelling the candidates were. And all the members of Fox Friends this a.m. had jizz on their face after their version of idol worship fellatio.

At 3:24 a.m., Trump retweeted a supporter calling Fox News’ Megyn Kelly a “bimbo.” At 3:31 a.m., he called her “overrated” and “angry.” And at 3:59, Trump helped a supporter wondering about Kelly’s “hidden agenda.” GOP pollster and strategist Frank Luntz, who ran a post-debate focus group, was also a target of Trump’s ire. He was labeled a “low-class slob” at 3:28 a.m.

What exactly nobody needs now or ever.

According to two unnamed sources "with direct knowledge" who spoke to the National Journal, ex-Rep. Heath Shuler is considering a bid for Senate next year.

According to my wife from her days on the Hill, Shuler was by acclamation the dumbest member of Congress.

Isn't it fantastic. It's like they can't help themselves.

Latest Bloom County was fantastic as well. I never want him out of the running.

Without reading the text, only seeing the small version of the strip before clicking on it, I was wondering why Bill still had that helmet. I figured he'd wear it for the reaminder of the year, because of the movie, but now I'm thinking the helmet will go away just because it might have all been a payoff for today's comic.

Then he'll fit right in! (and yes I realize he's a Dem).

EDIT - I get the basic logic here. He can't run for Gov because the D's already have an established candidate, and there's nobody running for Senate. Coast to the nomination and hope either the governor's race or the Presidential race (narrow win & narrow loss for O in state) puts you over the top. I don't see what he possibly has in common with Hillary but you could say the same thing about Heitkamp (sp?) - Obama in North Dakota or Donnelly - Obama in Indiana and they both won.

Huckleberry's not going anywhere.

Carson wants to be FNC's house you-know-what.

Carly probably thinks she can be the token vagina on the anti-Hillary ticket. In the worm-eaten minds of Republicans that will somehow neutralize Hillary's appeal to women, as if policies made no difference.

don't mean to just pick on Kepler, but this kind of talk is why I find other sources for online politics. those who want to discuss actual politics or, even odder yet (!), real policies don't name call and don't rely on sexist, racist comments as their main arguments. there are actual issues involved if one wants to look a little more in depth. sometimes I feel like I'm the only grown up in the room. oh wait. I probably am (age wise) the most grown up. :) nevertheless this thread is like a car wreck - you can't not look.

Oh, please. Have you listened to the rhetoric out of Washington lately? Kepler makes a very poor Congressman as anything he says doesn't even come close.

If you read the thread you'll see we talk real politics.

But we also say bad things. Very bad things. Things even we repent of later, in the confessional, staring down at the hard ground. Wishing, just wishing we could take it back. And that's not counting the things we say out loud at our keyboards, late at night, but still have the decency not to type. Seriously, those things would curl your hair. Do yourself a favor and carefully close your laptop right this moment. You are in great danger.
