I had a rental about a month ago where the gear shifter was just a turn dial. That appears to be the new standard, but first time I had seen it. I was about 50% on putting it in park when trying to turn the car off because there was no stick to move. Luckily the devs know people are stupid and the car auto shifted to park in those cases. Habits die hard.

I have seen those...refuse to drive them they confuse me! When I was in Scotland I drove a Polestar and that is the new obsession. Great range for an electric and has one of the smoothest rides ever. It had a gear shift that stayed in the same position and you just sort of flick it (a bit of an understatement) like a joystick. It also had that 360 camera deal which is awesome but kind of spooky!

Totally embarrassed myself when we got it because I didn't know how to start it. A nice guy in the parking lot saw me struggling asked my SO if it was ok to help then he knocked on the window. He asked if I was ok and I said I didn't know how to start the car. He said you don't have to just put it in gear and it goes. I had no way to know that f course but I still felt like my dad turning on a computer :(

I am just glad he is going lower my car insurance because I really dont want to switch back to Geico...

Yup. Manufacturing a recession is a sure fire way to get those low interest rates. In his world, it’s also how you bring more manufacturing back to the US.

Well remember...he thinks William McKinley was a great President and The Guilded Age is the policies he seems to want to implement.
