Is that the fight where Cuban was saying diversity in hiring was a good thing? Or at least not a negative thing?

Yes, in addition to Cuban pointing out that no one who enters the program is guaranteed a job at United, they still have to pass, graduate, interview, etc. So having a diverse pool of qualified candidates to start with is great, knowing there will undoubtedly be some percentage of attrition and that the best candidates for full-time employment will shake out over time.

LOL, that door plug landed in exactly the wrong person's yard for Boeing.

He said he didn’t touch it for fear of destroying evidence.

Sauer said NTSB staff were both surprised and happy the door remained intact.

He was intrigued to see the door plug’s serial number and other manufacturing details apparently handwritten on the door in permanent marker.

“That’s an interesting way of doing inventory control,” he said.

Writing on the door plug says it was manufactured in Malaysia.

Asked about the handwriting, Boeing said they couldn’t address the issue because of the active NTSB investigation.

Well Bitcoin is at ridiculous levels and Ethereum is strong...but the sheer amount of [bleep]coins out there ripping people off (including fake charity coins, Logan Paul frauds...etc) along with the SBF kerfuffle, Celsius crashing, Tether being a giant fraud amongst others probably pushed for this.

For the Stern show aficionados. This is probably the only time where the pump and dump scam was wholeheartedly approved by those who bought in.

Sadly the amount of groups that welcome rug pulls is kind of crazy. Every influencer has basically pumped and dumped their fans (Logan Paul twice!) and nothing is ever done about it.

And it is important to differentiate between that stuff and other coins which are not scams. Some use coins to fun legit business ventures which is why their value tends to hold. Not all of them are money laundering...

An Amazon rant.... Or more correctly, an anti-amazon rant...

I get it that local vendors and companies are taking in the rear because of Amazon. And I do my best to buy local as much as I possibly can.

But what do you do when you can't get that *thing* nearby? Or worse- when you get it 1/3 the cost on Amazon than locally? There are some prescription drugs that are OTC available now, meaning your insurance barely covers them. If at all. So you order them, and decide to look if you can find them elsewhere. And it turns out that you can get 3x the amount for a fraction of the cost on the zon. If the pharmacy really wants me to get them from them, first- offer them OTC. Second, offer at a reasonable price. Without that, I would be a moron for not saving significant money getting things on amazon.

Drives me crazy that problem.

Thankfully, that's reasonably rare.

You all remember that cute video Tesla released showing the Cybertruck on a drag strip quarter mile beating a Porsche 911 while towing a Porsche 911?

Because some engineers broke down the video, did the math, and found out:
- It was an 1/8th mile marker we see in the video.
- The trailer tires were only rated for 80mph.

And Elmo publicly lied about it.

As someone summed up on Threads: the largest automaker by market cap spent the time and money to rent out a drag strip, two identical 911s, a trailer, and film/production crew, but couldn't be bothered to run to a Discount Tire for proper tires for the trailer?

The cryptobro at work has had a deposit on a $100k 'Foundation Series' Cybertruck since 2019, because of course.

He was told it'd be delivered in 2020. He's obviously still waiting. :-D
