I couldn’t read the whole article since The Atlantic wants to charge for reading, but was it about lack of affordable housing? No doubt there are plenty of liberal NIMBYs in this country who contribute to that problem, but if one really thinks liberal NIMBYs, and liberals more broadly, are just as to blame for the poors being/staying poor as rich conservatives, that person is not only delusional, he’s a moron.

But liberal policies HELP the Poors.

And Leftist policies help the poor more, and most* Leftists Love the Poors.

* Most. I favor policies to end poverty because I can't stand them.

Twitter says they’re now values at 20B.

he bought at 44, to remind you

It's somebody's else's money, though, right? These fools always have other fools to finance their vanity escapades. Yes, he has paper losses for the market cap he would theoretically lose if he sold all his shares, but (1) that's not how it works out in reality as he can sit on those shares forever, and (2) that actually helps him to claim losses to offset elsewhere.

The only people who are getting burned here are the folks who lost their jobs. (They were working for Twitter, so... Oh no. Anyway.)

And someone posted the source code on Github...oh I love when the Lords of FAFO finally wake up and dispense justice!

The demands of "Who leaked it," was hilarious to read, like he hadn't personally fired and jilted thousands of employees with access to the source code AND never got laptops with the data returned because he was too busy firing those people too.

Yeah, I think a better question is who didn't leak it?

You ride into town and buy the factory from the previous as-swipe who owned it and start firing your workers who built and understood everything and, OMG!, they aren't loyal to you and they f-ck you?! Imagine?

If you don’t think rich liberals have as much disdain for the poors as rich conservatives you are completely delusional.

No, I don't buy that at all. Rich liberals are for sure not out there advocating strongly enough for "proper" taxation, but they've chosen to align themselves with a party that does. If they had as much disdain as rich conservatives.....they would be conservatives. In 2023, disdain for the poor *IS* conservatism.

Sorta how not all conservatives are Nazis, but being in a party with Nazis is not a deal-breaker for them. Rich liberals may not love the poor, but being in a party with people working to improve the lot of the poor is not a deal-breaker.

Twitter is now a privately held company, with just a handful of investors, so all value is purely subjective at this point. We don’t really know what its true value is these days, but can roughly guess. We can’t know if any of the revenue figures being published are accurate. Without that info, again, it’s all guess work. Just like Southern math.

Forget Hitler, if a time machine ever gets invented they need to go back and make sure John Hinkley Jr. doesn't miss...
I mean, that wouldn’t do much. You’d still have Bush 41 and the whole cabinet full of grifters like Baker.

Honestly, go back to 1964 and convince LBJ the Great Society is more important than Vietnam.

Or find an economic advisor in 1960 that could find an solution to the entire mess that is the 1970’s that doesn’t involve supply side economics.

Wait, no. Let’s do the HOI4 solution and go back to 1936 and move down the socialist section of the National Focus Tree.
