most recent list of suitors has UND, Penn State, and Michigan as the front runners so far. doesn't mean BU isn't in on McKenna (every single school is probably in on him) but he is the biggest name out there. if the rumored number Penn State offered Martone is for real, I'd imagine they'd be offering similar or more for McKenna.How about his teammate who put up 41-88 as a 16yo
Ryder Ritchie is a hell of a consolation prize though. He currently leads the Memorial Cup in goals, tied in points lead. Son of former NHLer Byron Ritchie, dual citizen of Sweden and Canada. Won gold with Canada at 2023 Hlinka Gretzky and 2024 U18s, 2023 WHL rookie of the year. Wild drafted him 45th overall in 2024, missed 10 weeks of his draft season after a knee-on-knee. This season he went 29-32-61 in 53 games, and 9-9-18 in 18 playoff games to win the WHL Championship. He has 4 goals and 1 assist in 3 games at the Memorial Cup.

2026 recruit Rian Chudzinski will spend his pre-draft season with QMJHL champion Moncton. Led Dexter-Southfield to the Elite 8 title game with 27-25-52 in 28 games.

I don't believe BU is in on McKenna, seems he's B1G bound. I believe we are at least in contact with other CHL players, don't know who, the timeline, or for what seasons. The majority of reported NIL numbers are wildly inflated - this holds true across all of the major college sports and hockey is no exception.

NEWS: I am told that 4.5 forward Jack Pridham is no longer committed to BU. Pridham had 27 goals and 54 points for Kitchener (OHL) last season. 2024 third round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks.
Further, I’m hearing his plan is to sign with Chicago and continue playing junior with Kitchener. We’ll see if that plan holds.
