BU Recruiting Update--Part 5

Boston Hockey Blog: "Were told the Terriers went into the recruiting window looking to add three or four players. After getting commitments from their three main 2008-born targets, expect the Terriers to be patient and assess what is available in the coming months."

So, here is where the next two recruit classes, with a slew of 5-stars, stand, subject, of course, to changes, e.g. 2007 Sascha Boumedienne who accelerated and is a freshman this season.

2025 Class
--2007 birthdates F Conrad Fondrk, F Jack Murtagh, F Zach Morin, D Charlie Trethwey, D Carter Amico
--2006 birthdates F Jack Pridham, F Callum Hughes, F John McNelis, D Aidan Souligny, G Mikhail Yegorov

2026 Class
--2008 birthdates F Caleb Malhotra, F Tynan Lawrence, D Luke Schairer
--2007 birthdate D Simon (Haoxi) Wang
--2006 birthdate F Jay Feldsberg

Great start for 2026 recruits. In their first games, Caleb Malhotra delivers an OT win; Tynan Lawrence: goal, assist, big open-ice hit. And a hat trick for 2025 Jack Pridham. Video on the blog.

USHL scout Sebastian High:
This shift from Carter Amico (6'5" RD, #57 in white) is very fun. The 2025 draft-eligible flashes his handling ability, mobility, physicality, and willingness to jump up to not only support but lead the rush. He's a potential 1st rounder next year. With Amico and (2025 recruit) Charlie Trethewey, the USNTDP has two rangy, mobile, and physical two-way RDs this season. Amico is toolsier, Trethewey more polished."

U18s' game vs Waterloo at 2 p.m. today. Free on YouTube (USHL Hockey). Four future Terriers in the line-up.
More.

Recently high touted recruit Zachary Morin left Youngstown of USHL for canadian junior hockey
Previously that would have made him ineligible for college
With the rules change coming possibly this week is he still in the mix

Hearing "not likely."

EP Rinkside has 6'5" RD Carter Amico's stock shooting upward. "He’s among the premier rush defenders in the USHL this season."

NHL preliminary players to watch list for the 2025 draft has seven Terriers. Of the 15 A- and B-rated skaters committed to or playing for D1 teams, six are Terriers: A-Trethewey, B-Amico, Boumedienne, Fondrk, Murtagh, Wang.

The Hockey News sizes up Simon Wang ;), and more on the blog.

Wonder if Zetterberg who was bypassed last year will be drafted in second year
probably better off not to be drafted-

Make that 8 Terriers on the watch list. I missed Zetterberg at the end of the W category, which projects as a 6th or 7th round pick. I'd expect that to change positively on the next watch list. Zetterberg attended Montreal's development camp and impressed.
