BU Hockey '24-'25: Reloaded for another Frozen Four run

Will that kid who was supposed to come but went chl potentially still come? Rogie hear anything?

Mookie, I'm guessing you're mean 2026 recruit Tynan Lawrence, whom a tweet from a scout indicated might head to the Q before arriving at BU, which is the new flexibility provided by the NCAA's decision. Lawrence's rights are held by Chicoutimi, which isn't too far from his home in New Brunswick. The scout later indicated that the move might not occur until next season and noted that "Commitments will be upheld through moves like this."

Since that tweet, 2025 recruit Jack Pridham was released by West Kelowna and joined Kitchener in the OHL, closer to his home and his Dad, who is the Maple Leafs' assistant GM.

Expect to see more NCAA committed players make similar moves, Canadians in particular.

More on the blog.

Good afternoon, I have two physical tickets that I originally bought on StubHub to go to Saturday nights game at Maine (Section P, Row 5, seats 6-7). Family emergency and can’t go. I paid $108 for the pair, but will take $80. I will have to ship them overnight. and will accept venmo.
email me at jonmailloux1@gmail.com if interested.

Thanks!

To the fans 'unhappy' with Pandolfo, unreasonably so, in my opinion: Get used to him. He's not going anywhere soon. I think he's at BU at least until his son (and a couple of other players at Rivers) come through BU.

Strip Kaplan's "A" and make him earn it back by showing he can lead. Sit Cole Hutson - sloppy, careless, lackadaisical play. This team needs an accountability dope slap.

Absolutely. And beyond that, have Kaplan watch a game or two from the stands. He's a stupid penalty machine who subtracts more than he adds.

that last game mookie saw vs Michigan on Friday he was a hot mess… total $hit show. Selfish fvk.

I think the player Mookie was referring to is Zack Morin. And he no longer shows as a BU 2026 recruit, although his bios on the web still say BU in 2026. Any intel on him by anyone? He's not listed as committed to anyone on the NCAA commits listing.

I guess there was a little magic, but this team needs quite a bit of work. Maine looks light years ahead of where we are right now. Happy with the 2 points tonight for sure.

If you're looking for some old-school entertainment with your morning coffee, go read the Maine thread. :D - #OldSchoolUSCHO (I miss it)

BU Hockey: Whiny Mediocre Thugs

If it looks, acts and sounds like a whiny mediocre thug....then it is a whiny mediocre thug. Pandolfo does a weak impersonation of Parker....and he's definitely not as lovable in a super villain sort of way...lol.

Would you like some cheese with that whine?? Excuse me while I go find my eyes that rolled all the way out of my head. You guys are no paragons of virtue.

Exactly- remember the Maine celebrations at Walter Brown in the early 90’s? I was there. Every win at BU was celebrated like it was the national championship for crying out loud! Taunting of fans/students was a regular occurrence. Hey, it’s a big historical rivalry and it’s heating up again (sort of). Maine definitely has a much improved team in the last couple of years, but the Friday win was only Maine’s 2nd in 12 games against BU and the tying goal and resulting scoreless overtime prevented Maine from securing their first 2 game sweep at Alfond since 1997. It would have been fairly significant if Maine secured the 2 regulation wins, but they didn’t. It was tied in the closing seconds which hurts quite a bit and BU got the important extra point in the shootout. It’s college hockey and over-celebrating (especially towards the student sections) is part of it in rivalry games.

Pretty much what you said.

It was easy to hate Parkha, but we're finding ways to vilify Pandolfo right now.

A little hate between brothers is a beautiful and natural sort of thing. I've actually rooted for BU in the PS many times in the past, but I hope I don't have to stoop to that level this season.

;)
