BU Hockey '24-'25: Reloaded for another Frozen Four run

Sounds like we should have some pretty good vibes going into St Louis. BU has won a few tournaments there - the Ice Breaker in 2010 as mentioned in the Terrier Hockey Fan Blog and the St Louis Fireman’s tournament way back in 1974 defeating Minn-Duluth and St Louis. It would be great to make it 3 for3!

Having a 30 win + team from another direction in Michigan makes me think of another opponent in the Frozen Four- Northern Michigan in 1991. Western has done very well this semester only losing 3 games (21-3) but that Northern team was undefeated in its last 26 games winning the championship going 24-0-2! Hoping the results, should we make it to the final against this Michigan team, will be a little different (although we did push Northern to the very brink of of losing in the first FF I attended in person).
I was there too...my first frozen four. Da Bears also lost to NMU that weekend, but made up for it in '93. Good luck to the derrieres. Hurts to even type that .

Nothing worse than the dump and look to change up every 30 sec🤬

and thank the lord for Jack Hughes being the adult in the room the entire 2nd half of the game…getting between Kaplan and “pick a number for pedd st” and even between lachance later on. These kids 🙄🙄🫣🫣
Yes, Hughes being the adult was invaluable. I saw 2-3 spots where some retaliatory silliness was brewing involving notorious intemperate BU teammates and he slid in between to quell…. I think our opponents know whose button to push to get to the power play…

Not jinxing anything for tomorrow but heck of a game last night. It did help that the refs by and large let the teams play as well as that bad first goal that Penn St's goalie lost track of. I know nothing about Western Michigan so can't hazard a guess as to how BU matches up but I do know it's been waaayy too long since we've been in a final. Let's hope they seize the opportunity because you never know when you'll get back.

Regarding where to watch the game, I suggest Game On. I haven't seen that many scantily clad females in one place on a Thursday night since Tater has his bachelor pad down in Newport 20 years ago. One girl walked in with nothing on but a red bra. I'm assuming she was rooting for BU?

They will need to have a much better game to win and for that to happen it will have to be the best game they have played all year. Much more aggressive pace or they will be done early.
Newbie here, although I've been a "lurker" for a while. Don't know NMU well although I've seen their results this year. If it's two high-flying teams I like us on the strength of Big Mike's goaltending. If he turns it a lockdown game and we avoid dumb penalties, we win.

WMU is going to be a considerable upgrade in talent for an opponent for BU despite how well Cornell and PSU were playing. BU has beaten a #3 and two #4’s so far. They are playing well but they have to be a lot better than the last 2 to beat WMU. Have to bury more pucks

Nah, WMU took out defending champs in OTs, you guys coasted over Pedo State. I remember 95 well when Maine went multiple OTs to get a rested BU team and got crushed. Take it to the bank
Ah but they got to hit the hay at a normal hour to recover. Our guys didn't finish on the ice until after midnight eastern time.

On another note, with the portal open and teams essentially finished with their seasons, plus the opening of access for players in the CHL, player movement will ramp up. Jay’s reputation for developing NHL talent, and BU’s resurgence into national prominence under his leadership will enhance the program’s desirability as a destination of choice for recruiting. It will interesting to see who leaves and who possibly extends their stay into next year. We already have the purported #1 recruiting class coming in next year.

Saw a Sioux fan and spoke to him about boisvert
Guy shared he is the real deal and wondered why he was leaving. Mookie ask if it was departing coach related and guy said perhaps, but nowadays with open transfers and nil it is all conjecture 🤷🏾

I was really disppointed when Matt Copponi left Merrimack and transferred to BU, but glad he has the chance to play for the title. He had some good chances last night. If you're looking for a "sleeper player" to have an impact in the championship it could be him.

I don't want to have this conversation now, but... I think Quinn Hutson and Ryan Greene sign on Sunday.
Terriors are bringing in 4 1sr rd picks next year. Good luck to both (Ryan is graduating after all too).
add on eiserman as well leaving. Mookie noticed he was the last kid in warm up skating around taking shots. Sorta immersing himself in the all of it as his last go around 🙀

I think Eiserman and C Hutson would both benefit from another year but it’s hard to say no if an NHL team is offering big money. Eiserman’s overall game has improved but I think his skating and hockey IQ need a little more time

Eiserman is definitely gone. Hopefully Kaplan. No one talks about Wilander hope he plays a 3rd year. CHutson could probably justify having the impact in the NHL next year that Lane is having. I think he’s better overall. If they win on Saturday which is a big IF could accelerate a few but if they lose and just want to give it another go next year for a NC is folly. Look at Leonard didn’t win one trophy. Money and opportunity to play now in NHL will be the deciding factor. I hope Zetterberg doesn’t go to portal he was totally screwed this year imo.
