BU Hockey '24-'25: Reloaded for another Frozen Four run

Totally forgot Matt Gilroy joined the Harvard coaching staff. Nice little tribute/welcome back video message for him.

I don’t get why BU scheduled this game against a Beanpot rival there is no upside especially if you arent playing all your regulars. If you win you get no value in the PWR if you lose your rival gets a mental edge on you as the first round opponent. Rather have played USNDP or a walkover like Stonehill. Probably rest would be best with a brutal non conference schedule coming up next 2 weeks

I know this is only an exhibition but jeez they look terrible tonight.
Kind of my point. The only thing that can happen in a game like this is injury or bad habits. It’s just natural that players don’t view the game as seriously

You guys may not have taken it seriously but for us, it's a win coming off one of our worst seasons in program history. Especially since our freshman class stepped up when no one really had them as a top end class.

This seems weird. Because it's too early for Harvard to have official games or something?

The Ivy League does not permit the hockey team to start as early as HEA and other conferences. We are at a distinct disadvantage which is why we mostly schedule Ivy opponents early on in the season. This was an exception to the rule.

The earliest Ivy League teams can play official games is Nov. 1. Hence, Saturday having been a preseason exhibition game for the Crimson.

well the world is a better place when Harvard skates a decent team. at least according to mookie ;)

Are we REALLY going to have to sit through another season of a billion penalties??? (But I LOVE the "old" uniforms with the Terrier on the front and the numbers outlined in black)

No better feeling than assigning North Dakota as my "favorite" school so I can pay $27 to tune in to a 5-0 score in the first. Oy.

Is either game on espn+? Paying $31 to watch both games seems pretty nuts

I guess not. When I subscribed to ESPN+ I just assumed all the bu games would be on there. Pretty lame. Glad I didn’t pay the extra, especially seeing the score.

Definitely not paying for tomorrow.

World Series tonight and Bruins tomorrow for me.

Man, this is ugly.

How much do I have to donate to the program to buy Kaplan some self-discipline or some self-control? Time for a good sit down.
