3-1 isn't enough. I wanna see them crush. I'm watching on ESPN+ the play by play at times feels like it's calling a golf game for all the energy they put into it.

So, Maine in the semi. We are 0-6 all time against them in that round, although it’s been a while (2012). I’m hoping this be the year we break that - we’re due, that’s for sure!

It should NEVER come down to officiating. Ever, ever, ever. #LosersMentality - If you mean that BU has to play a disciplined game and stay out of the box, then yes, I agree. That will be in an important factor.

That embellishment call on Macklin was some next level BS. So yeah, I'm calling out the officiating. : ) : ).

Thank God Cade Webber came back. That looked baaaaad.

And finally, do we need to root for BC on Friday? (gah!)

There is another option for you guys if you want to be in Springfield. Root for Cornell (or SLU/Dartmouth) to win the ECAC which could then knock UMass out. But we'll know more after these pivotal game threes in the NCHC tonight. The other factor here is if Omaha makes it in as a 4 seed because they are host for Sioux Falls. Right now they are a 3 seed but if they lose to CC tonight that probably drops them down to 4 seed but perhaps that will even drop them below UMass...but then maybe UMass losing to BC could return the favor and flip them again!

- Great character win - exercising demons, etc...I swear I was going to start claiming PTSD if they beat us again, especially wearing those retro jerseys that bring back memories of Bruce Racine, Dave Buda, and Harry Mews...especailly after that fluky second goal. 29 wasn't even shooting it on net, he was just trying to pitch it out into the crease.
- That Celebrini goal is why the coaches have he and Harvey playing together. After having played together all last season, they both knew exactly what Harvey was going to do in that situation, so Celebrini was already thinking ahead to what he was going to do once he grabbed the puck. What a special player he is.
- Watching the replay, I actually do think Celebrini went down pretty easily on that cross-check. But the right approach would be to not call either penalty if you thought he sold it too much, not to call them both.
- Getting Webber back was huge (pun intended). Seeing him on injured brought back memories of Case last season in the semis.
- Strong disciplined game - Kaplan kept his composure. The refs also did a good job not calling all the post whistle pushing and shoving.
- Great play by Willander and Wilmer on the Tuch goal. Seems Wilmer has been a little quieter lately, so good to see him pitch in.

Maine looked really good last night. Get ready to be stunned at how many Maine fans will be at the garden. It will feel like a Maine home game. Those fans have been dying for a good season - first time to the garden in 12 years! And since it's so hard to get tickets to Alfond again, for many, this is their best chance to watch the team in person. And with BC drawing well again, I'm guessing that Friday will sell out.

I was more annoyed they didn’t call a penalty on that second NU player who shoved Macklin after the whistle on that play. If they’re going to call embellishment on Macklin then call hitting after the whistle on that Husky.

As for Webber, methinks BU hired Mr. Miyagi to do that magical thing with his hands. I thought Webber was done with maybe a broken ankle or a tear. Did anyone get a good look at the play?

And I don’t think we need to root for BC. I think we need to root for UMass. BU needs to keep them as a three seed. Had Minnesota done what they SHOULD HAVE and beat Michigan, that would have helped. UMass beat Michigan this season so if Michigan lost, that comparison would have flipped. I hate that as the locked in #2 seed I the country, we’re reliant on way too many other teams to keep is East.

I was surprised and saddened to hear about the passing of former Terrier captain TJ Connolly. Anyone know what happened?

Well, if they wind up playing Maine, then of course I will.

I am flabbergasted BU is winless against Maine in the HE semis. That does not bode well. This will be another instance of a big game in a hostile environment as I’m thinking there will be a ton of Maine fans in the house. Hoping they realize it and don’t need to get pumped up.

Maine has been solid all year. Yeah we swept them (barely) in November but even then I thought, "There's a team I don't want to see in the Garden." That said, it's time for the Terriers to step up and show out. There's no 'easy teams' left in the mix from here on out.

Interesting development in the Atlantic Hockey final. AIC is in the final vs RIT. AIC is a co-host with UMass in Springfield. If UMass and AIC are both in, they both have to be there. That means AIC is a 4 and UMass would be 3. That’s another way we stay in Springfield. (This hosting stuff has to go.)
