BU 23-24 Post-Season and Off-Season: Jacks and Coles

times are a-changing.
wasn't long ago the site of a college boys showing up like that would have raised eyebrows that someone or some agent paid for that...making one ineligible going forward :eek::p

As much as I am not a fan of the Panthers, I do love seeing ERod doing well.

I saw a clip of some interview with Macklin from the game last night and he mentioned how the Sharks arena is 40 minutes from his parents' home and I think it would be hysterical (in a good way) to have him live with mom and dad when he plays for the Sharks.

Common for young’uns to live with a family. Sid did that upon joining the Pens

Good for E-Rod, I guess. Unfortunately the Panthers might be the most unlikeable team in the league. Go Oilers!

And me-thinks that kids who do interviews like that are not planning to stick around in college for another year (he was interviewed by PK pre-game)
 
I don't think having Macklin on TV means he is gone. They have been showing the top prospects at a playoff game for a while now. Sort of related - I remember a Bruins game where they showed McDavid and Hanifin in a box with Booby Orr, with Pierre Maguire commenting that in a couple years those were going to be a couple of the top picks in the draft and that Bobby Orr's company was representing them.

Eiserman saying he and Macklin are going to room together seems to be a positive sign that there is at least a chance he comes back. I just think for someone as young as him (he turns 18 on Thursday I believe) to jump right in to the toughest league in the world includes some risks. Macklin is incredibly skilled and tenacious and will be a star in the league one day. I just don't seem him being ready the way Eichel was (Eichel was 8-9 months older).
 
Boys best win it all this season. Enough of this frozen four then flame out. Sure it’s hard, but c’mon ;)
 
Most draft picks of any D1 program. Loooots of great publicity on the biggest stage. Time to win a Nattie. (But gonna be hard with an equally talented team right up the street.)
 
So, when does Celebrini sign? Think they are working out the deal today and will announce tomorrow? I need to get my disappointment over with already.

I'm guessing the earliest possible time is during or after dev camp. Starts on the 2nd, prospect scrimmage is on the 4th. Would not be surprised if he took a few weeks though. Kind of a whirlwind time for a kid who just turned 18.

His parents said he was planning on staying for the second day of the draft but decided he wanted to get a workout and skate in before dev camp started lol

But didn’t we say Harvard was exhibition because merrimack was going to be OOC? So tying up one loose end opens another.

Not sure what has been said, but BU already announced their complete schedule which includes a game at Yale on 29 December.

That's back-to-back seasons BU plays at Yale (and both on 29 December).
