Actually, a UNH kid (I'm too lazy to look up who.
) got a piece of Ahti's backhand that was going into an empty net. It was a great defensive play. I thought Ahti missed it as well, but then saw the replay on the big board.
And somewhere in Oxford, the entire Miami hockey team just peed down their leg.

Speaking of shoddy reporting, Scott W in his recap of the game:
"With 63 points, Eichel is within one point of matching the scoring total of Paul Kariya when the Maine standout became the last freshman to win the Hobey in 1992-93."
Well if 1 point = 37 points, then sure.
I think what he meant to say was: one more point would tie Eichel with the most freshman points SINCE Paul Kariya had 100 (89).
There are a few stats that anyone who has been a hockey fan for more than 10 years should know, and I think Kariya's 100 (89) is one of them.
