My take is that we had an exceptionally bad shift against Brown's top line, and they scored. I'm not sure which line we had on the ice, but they looked bad for that 30-second stretch in our zone. Other than that, it felt even, or maybe RPI had more control and a few more nice chances. Brown looks good in net tonight, so I think we're going to have a low scoring match.
I agree with WRPI that it looks like Brown studied RPI's playbook and they are doing a good job breaking up our offensive plays. The start of the 2nd will be an 80-second RPI powerplay. That will be a good litmus test. If we get a lot of pressure and perhaps score, then it could set the tone for the second period. The momentum could go either way from here.
