Brown @ RPI (ECAC quarterfinals, Friday, 3/15/13)

Re: Brown @ RPI (ECAC quarterfinals, Friday, 3/15/13)

Message from HFH-we have been very sloppy on defense and our forwards seem a step slow for the entire first two periods. Fortunate to be tied as Brown has outshto us and has had several good chances. Hopefully we can find our legs and the defense can get into a better rhythm.

Period ends 1-1. You can count on us getting a penalty early in the third.
Need to win one period.

lets go red!!!!!!!!!!!

lets go red!!! one good period.

Apparently we have not played a good period yet tonight. We have had the benefit of two power plays. i doubt very seriously that we can escape another period without some sort of even up calls.

Re: Brown @ RPI (ECAC quarterfinals, Friday, 3/15/13)

That goal was much-needed. RPI has made an exceptional number of turnovers, some right in front of the net. Brown is playing really tight D, and is forcing RPI to try some tough plays as a result. The tough plays are part of why we're seeing players make turnovers and fall down. With the score, maybe RPI can settle down and get back to basics.

In better news, UMD 1-0 Wisconsin.

Re: Brown @ RPI (ECAC quarterfinals, Friday, 3/15/13)

From what i can gather-there have been zero penalties called in the SLU/Yale game. in fact, almost all games have few penalties called except Cornell at QU.

yes i fear we will be shorthanded for a few in the 3rd period. Need to make good use of the 5x5 and net one early in the 3rd. Make brown play catch up and help open up the ice.

To RPI's credit, I think they had a lot of possession during the 2nd. Brown had some breaks, but RPI had more sustained time in the Brown zone.

another turnover from rpi that almost resulted in a brown goal. need to be sharp now.

Re: Brown @ RPI (ECAC quarterfinals, Friday, 3/15/13)

looks like a bit of sustained pressure now on Brown. 8 minutes left in the 3rd.
