Bring Out Your Dead (Part Whatever v2.0)

Agreed. It's just depressing seeing someone who brings such joy to the world in such a frail state. I'm not an apple fanboi but when he does finally go, it will be a very sad day.

Most of us will leave no significant legacy. This guy certainly will.

That guy who decapitated his disabled child and put the head on display, should have to trade places with Jobs.

He's on the list, in the first division. Or the Twin Cities guy I posted today who abandoned his 11year old son because "things are tough in his life." Kid woke up and his dad was gone. Thankfully, this selfish pr*ck left a note professing his love for the boy. I'm sure the kid understood. Now he's at the tender mercy of the child welfare system.

Absolutely. He, and no one else (no, not even Wozniak), created the single largest company in the history of mankind. I can't help but think that "legacy" doesn't seem to impart enough significance.

Yeah, a real game changer. And I saw a column yesterday where somebody pointed out Jobs had his share of huge failures, but learned from them and came back stronger than ever.

I'm sure that the stress of being in that position of APPLE (!) took its toll, too. I hope for the best for him, but fear the worst.

My father was a cardio/thoracic surgeon and he always used to say: all death is unexpected. In this case, it seems like his days have dwindled down to a precious few.

The best inventors learn more from their mistakes than even their greatest successes. It doesn't help that he had a cult-like following either.

It's sad to see anyone in such a frail state - unfortunately, most of us have known someone who has been in that state.

I'm also no Apple fan, but let me pose this question -- does Jobs rank with the likes of Bell and Edison?

I think he's below them and Gates. So 4th on that list?

Re: Bring Out Your Dead (Part Whatever v2.0)

Reddit seems to think the photo's a fake.

I took a look at the picture again, it does look fake. Notice the positioning of the non-Jobs person's hands and how the overlap in the shoulders through the fingers is. Then look at the bottom of Jobs, why is he wearing a dress? Finally, if you look at the midsection, it looks like someone photoshopped the thinness. I'm starting to think it's a photoshopped picture.
