I hope we get our act together before the game starts tonight. That cubs series was painful to watch, particularly the ends of the games. Combine that with the Crew's effort in Boston last time around and the signs don't point in the right direction. Although, we are still in first and we have 2 of our 3 aces going in this series. :)

Hopefully this turns out like the Washtington/Philadelphia road swing...look horrible against the bad team...almost sweep the good team. Its too bad that the game I should get to see from start to finish is the not the one with Gallardo or Marcum pitching...oh well, at least I get to see Fenway Park while the Brewers are in town.

Is Herrera the shortest Brewer ever? He looked tiny on the mound.

Well I'm safely in Boston, waiting for my hotel shuttle. A ton of brewer fans on the flight...not surprising considering I connected through Milwaukee. Hopefullythey have a better showing ronigh with a healthy Wolf? I heard gogo will be starting in center tonight. Hopefully Tony Plush plays Sunday, was hoping to see him live and in person today.

The rough stretch continues. Hopefully, they get their act together soon.

Tough call by Balkin' Bob on the no-HBP with Morgan. It seems that 3/4 of HBP's are the same type where the hitter just turns away. I've never seen that called in recent memory. I was at the game last year where the same ump tossed a player, a manager, and eventually a fan (the Hoffman 600th save game). Davidson always seems to want to make himself the center of attention.

Marcum is going to pitch today. If he's OK, should be a good matchup vs. David Price. Now that I've said that, it'll be 9-8.

Marcum left after 3. I haven't heard yet if it was a reinjury situation or if he was just on a short leash, so to speak. The tough stretch contiues with the Twinkies and the Yankees. The former always plays us tough even when they're NOT on fire like they are right now. The Yankees could end up being Boston redux if we don't pick things up soon.

The Twins are also expecting Thome and Nathan back on Friday.

He hadn't thrown that many pitches - definitely looked OK in the first and third. Apparently he was on an 80 pitch count, but he could not have been close to that (although I didn't notice what it was). He batted in the bottom of the third, but maybe they didn't want to burn a pinch hitter at that point. Price looked pretty good.

I'm 2-3 so far this year. Unlike the Brewers, I have a losing record at home and am .500 on the road. ;)

wow...you could say I'm impressed. Brewers sweep a hot Twins team in pretty easy fashion.

by the way, you have until tomorrow night to vote Rickie Weeks as a starter in the ASG. Matthew Leach from MLB.com <a href="http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20110628&content_id=21099970&vkey=perspectives&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb">offers one opinion</a> on why he should be there instead of Brandon Phillips. jen from USCHO offers another opinion that Brandon Phillips is a loudmouth punk (even though we have a mutual dislike of the Cardinals). But, as someone who cast 50 votes for Tony Gwynn, I guess I can't complain too much if Weeks doesn't get to start. ;)

and for those who have voted online in the past, it is easier to vote multiple times this year. I filled out 2 ballots at games, and couldn't find anywhere to turn them in. Last week they didn't even hand out ballots, much less collect them.

How many All Stars will the Brewers have this year? 3 in the field definitely - I would love to see them all start. Will a pitcher get in, and if so, who? What about Lucroy? I think he could get in as a reserve, the NL catching looks a little thin after McCann.

hey, we're still in first place!

Saito is coming back today or tomorrow so <a href="http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/124826299.html">the Brewers have another move to make</a>. Interesting possibilities. Personally, I'd let Kotsay go and start grooming Gamel. But I've never liked Kotsay. :p I would guess they get rid of Wilson.
