That the Pios had a pretty bad loss against UAA?
That was the night freshman Adam Murray played in goal. He was simply dreadful. With Chevy in net, I like DU's chances against any of those three teams, especially in Worcester with 1,500 total fans on hand.![]()
yea...that is a virtual bye into the frozen four. Congrats
Granted this regional does not have traditional hockey powers, but aren't you selling the nations leading offense short?
PS: Ask Cornell, Ferris State, and even Wisconsin about Yale.
The Cornell band even played the Denver fight song just to irritate CC. Priceless.
As a Denver Fan, I would so love that bracket.
I wasn't aware of them playing Denver's fight song for CC, but that's just because I don't know Denver's fight song.
Yale has offense? Our team sure as heck didn't see much.....![]()
RPI has a good team and shut down Yale twice, most recently in New Haven.
However, don't discount the fact that Yale leads the nation in scoring with over 4 goals a game.

Beware of the national statistics trap. No disrespect to Yale, but if they played in the WCHA, there is no way the Bulldogs would be scoring 4 goals per game. Yale would likely be a midpack team team in the WCHA, scoring about 3 or so goals per game.
That doesn't mean they can't advance in a one-game elimination NCAA tourney, but to think they have the nation's best offense is one of the problems of national stats when overall league quality varies as much as it does in college hockey.

LOL.
Yale's offense would torch the WCHA, too. They would be giving up a lot more scoring, though -- their goaltending is very suspect (unless they're playing us).
