Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

For some reason, those Green Bay times are all wrong.

The correct schedule:

All Times Eastern
Friday/ Saturday:
Green Bay - 5:30 & 9 on Fri; 9 on Saturday
Bridgeport - 3 & 6:30 on Fri; 6:30 on Saturday

Saturday/Sunday:
St Paul - 1:30 & 5 on Sat; 5:30 on Sunday
Worcester - 4 & 7:30 on Sat; 8 on Sunday

Alton,

I got mine from USCHO, I think. Where did you get yours?

Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

Any way to watch the selection show online if we don't have one of the networks supported by watchespn.com? I can only get espn3 channels through comcast.....

I'm wondering the same, it used to be on ESPN2 but looks like it was booted to ESPNU...blah.

Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

Just checked the BPT Ticketmaster site center ice available. Just be aware when buying BPT seats the first four rows are double letters AA-DD then it starts A-Z at the fifth row up.

At the risk of further confusing things, check out the information on the Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_NCAA_Division_I_Men's_Ice_Hockey_Tournament). Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

Seems like there are two or three viable options for the committee this year. I wish they had the power to hire and fire "Barry the Slick Goon". His predictable remarks have been lined up on the teleprompter since January. At least they put it on ESPN-U which cuts down on the damage because only a fraction of the world subscribes.

Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

so... anybody else watching the dance competition?

Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

What regions are matched up in the Frozen Four?

The region with the #1 seed (Boston College) is matched with the region with the #4 seed (North Dakota). The region with the #2 seed (Michigan) is matched with the region with the #3 seed (Union).

Ah, logic & reason. Thanks.

Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

I saw that too -- took a quick look at ticket availability, and they have tons of beautiful seats. I guess everybody's waiting to see where they're getting sent.
Shouldn't Gopher fans have been all over that though? I'm confused.
Bracket integrity?
Shhh! I know, just let me dream!;) Really I won't complain either way with how the committee decides. If it's integrity, good, if not, well, the X atmosphere should be electric.

Flipped it on once, some Rosary school kicked ***, and I still find myself channel surfing:p

Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

Does anyone else find the idea of a hockey selection show ridiculous?

It makes sense in hoops because, for better and worse, there's always a ton of uncertainty.

But what do you expect for hockey? "Now we go to Oxford, Ohio, where the Redhawks have *just* learned that they'll be in this years' tournament"

A better format would be to geek it up: present the entire bracket at once, then have a bunch of Jason Moy-types talking about what we might be able to infer (regarding the few issues that are still controversial) from the committee's bracket.

Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

Agree that the format could be different, but this year there are more questions than in years past. Sure we know the field, but unlike previous years where people were able to nail the bracket rather easily, there are a lot more options for the committee this year. Should be very interesting.

Re: Bracketology II: Electric Boogaloo

Yeah, this "selection show" nonsense is pretty dumb. Then again, they spent like two hours on the BCS "selection" show last December, where Virginia Tech over Kansas State was pretty much the only thing up in the air.
