BouncyBall 2013/2014

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

In the "It was a good idea at the time" category is the floor for the CBS Sports Classic. Four giant logos in play on the corner of the floor, with the black three point line changing to blue on the black areas of the team logos, along with the first S is "Sports" coming out onto the floor from the baseline.

There's a high school freshman from Barrow that's starting to attract some attention. He's 6'7", supposedly pretty * good.

I can't even imagine what'd be like to be him. 14-15 years old and everybody is "you're gonna be great! With you we're gonna win everything!" Especially in a small place mad about basketball like Barrow.

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

Might as well try to find a way to get him from LA during halftime. He certainly can't shoot any worse than Alford's kid did.

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

Sigh... as a Pistons bandwagoner I might have to try to start watching again. Caught the end of the game against the Spurs tonight and had a crazy finish with the Spurs turning it over up one with six seconds left, Brandon Jennings got the pass and laid it in for the game winning shot. Makes six straight, longest streak in six years.

Much improved since the Smith trade.

And here's video of the shot, and SVG telling players to "form a f-ing wall" around the basket.

It's really amazing how much of a cancer he was. So talented, but just wouldn't try to fit in a system. Like, it shouldn't be possible to lose a player with his skill and get better yet they've gone from second worst to possibly getting in the playoffs by dropping him.

And they're up to 7 straight.

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

Pistons actually lost tonight... to Atlanta, who are now winners of 7 straight.

Flipped between that and MSU and Michigan hockey games. It was the first time I've watched a whole Pistons game in about 7 or 8 years, and it was actually enjoyable. I think they end up with a 6 or 7 seed.

The Bucks are playing the Knicks today in London (that'd be England... not Ontario). If that's not a star-studded blockbuster matchup, I don't know what is.

Can someone tell the Knicks they can't tank for Connor McDavid?
