BouncyBall 2013/2014

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

Fran should start letting his players tweet again.

Not sure if that's it or what, but ever since McCabe was blown up by a few moronic fans on twitter, this team has completely lost itself. Their defense is atrocious, and they're not playing the Iowa basketball that got them into the Top 10 in January. I'm praying for a miracle run here, where they just get hot as can be, but I just don't see how they aren't a one and done team.

PC wins the Big East. Good because I don't trust the NCAA selection committee in this sport either. ;)

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

Dayton/tOSu in 1st round.

Potential Nebraska/Creighton matchup in 2nd round. And even if the seeds hold, Creighton gets to play Baylor in Texas. Yay...

Committee definitely has a sense of humor this year.

Guess we're not done with the winged helmet after all (University of Delaware) :o.

Oddly enough this will be the second straight post season game that one of my aunt and uncles will have their alma maters going head to head. First was the Rose Bowl, and now the Blue Hens. Which will be at 4:40 Thursday, which slides in just right between classes, a meeting, and the BTHT against OSU.

This Requiem for the Big East movie is excellent. I recommend it highly. It also proves one thing I've been saying for years... "It's all Boston College's fault."

A month ago Iowa beat the 2 seed in their bracket by 18, an was ranked 10 in the country. Today they're awarded a play in game as the third to last team in.

Like.

My dad went to Stanford, so he must have flinched in his grave when I rejoiced at the Rose Bowl outcome. Thankfully I can't think of any familial conflicts regarding upcoming tourney.

Marquette may have been left out of the NIT, but it warms my cold, black heart a little to see Indiana left out as well.

I love how it doesn't matter who wins that game (Iowa or UT), the Espn guys have them picked to beat Umass!! :D

I'd be absolutely thrilled if we beat Tennessee and then beat UMASS. With two wins in a row, the Hawks might have some swagger back an actually compete against Duke.

Re: BouncyBall 2013/2014

Anyone remember the New York Times (I think it was NYT) that let you make your picks for the tournament without knowing the team that you were picking?

They would show height, three-point shooting ability, experience, that kind of thing and then you could fill your bracket.

Can't find it this year. Help is appreciated.
