I counter that argument by pointing out that the Beast should not, at any time, ever be considered "beer". Let alone when it's flat and warm. It's not like we'd let the non-existent spectators have some anyway. :D

I agree. The only way it would work is if everyone was required to consume a certain amount of beer, so the whole place turned into a ****show, with fans running onto the ice, drunken brawls and breaking stuff.

I think beer should only be served to spectators 12 and under.

Another potential concessions strategy is to have excellent concessions....that run out just after the puck drops in the first period of the first game. Cornell tried that approach during its recent hosting of NCAA lacrosse games and had resounding success in terms of maximizing fan discomfort and disgruntled-ness.

Surely there must be some horrible local brew, perhaps enhanced with buck urine, fish entrails and kerosene. Served at room temp in a plastic mop bucket. That could be a real mess.

We are concerned about ctf's mother. If she's as hot as we've heard, the committee suggests she be banned from the premisis for the duration of the event. In fact, she'd be a welcome guest at my place for the weekend.

Sorry, she's already planning on being at my place that weekend. At least she won't be at the arena.

The spectators would probably get drunk anyway. I read an article about a study once that said an insanely high percentage (I can't remember the specifics right now) of people exposed to fake poison ivy developed a rash.

If you think you're getting drunk, you might actually convince your body you are.

If alcohol of any kind is served it needs to be in large glass bottles and ceramic jugs. Also for the few fans that may venture out (due to their high tolerance for pain) there needs to be numerous give aways at the entrance of hard pointy objects (pucks, more glass, shards of metal etc) that can be thrown on the ice during the game. Of course being at such terrible venues its unlikely that there will be any kind of crew that could clean it up. So there would be crap all over the ice. Not only would players have to avoid running into this stuff but they would also risk being hit by it as its thrown.

Also if the committee does decide to use the rink in PA they need to do so with the assurance that the pieces of the roof that collapsed are NOT removed from the ice. Players should have to climb over them to get to the net.
