And according to tournament bylaws, last place in the conference gets automatic placement in SHOTS.

Ya big silly, we don't use PWR here. That's for that "other" tournament. Here we use SHirtless Opinions on Teams that Suck, or SHOTS.
Even if they pull off an upset in the first round?

For seeding, if another committee member wanted to handle it, this is what I do:
South is 1 v 16, 8 v 9
West is 2 v 15, 7 v 10
East is 3 v 14, 6 v 11
Midwest is 4 v 13, 5 v 12
And as I have time and creativity, small write-ups will come out. Last year, I was only able to give scores.

Well. if they take a wrong turn and go to Telluride(oops) instead of Ouray they could be trapped in a box Canyon.
BTW ouray's altitude is a measly 7792 ft. which is 2500 ft above Denver's Magness Arena.
