I don't know... Assuming this is it... Did he know in September this was his last season? Or is he kicked to the curb because of this and isn't behind the bench on friday? Those are two very different things as far as being a blemish.
When I hear blemish non sexual I'm thinking more like a player not eligible or something along those lines
Although I agree, even if he was retiring regardless it could be perceived as looking bad.
