Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

Suddenly, or not so suddenly, home and home with Lowell is the biggest weekend of the season so far. Imagine a few years ago games with Mac and UML having so much significance? Love it.
Does anyone know what non-conference games (excluding Beanpot) BU has lined up next year?

No doubt this weekend is huge. And equally huge for our friends up Comm Ave. Odd to think that right now there is kind of "The Big 5" in Hockey East... which includes MC and Lowell!

No idea on next years OOC... Harvard I assume? That seems to be a staple. Are we done with ND until they are officially part of Hockey East(ish)? Do we owe Denver a return trip?

Schlossman (Grand Forks Herald) tweeted earlier this week BU is set to visit North Dakota in '13-'14 so I'm assuming BU is going out to REA next season?

Next season would be '12-'13? Did you mean that North Dakota would be coming here in '12-'13 if we are set to visit there in '13-'14?

My error...he updated North Dakota's schedule further later that day...As per Schlossman, Boston University will make its first trip to Grand Forks since November 1996 next season and the Sioux will return the trip to Boston for the 2013-14 season. The Sioux played at Agganis Arena three years ago in the Ice Breaker.

Looks like I may be planning a trip to Grand Forks next year!

road trip!!!!

Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

That may be true but I need to add another couple of states to my States Scarlet Has Been To List. Why else would I ever go to North Dakota?

I'd rather say I've been to 49 states and skipped North Dakota than actually tell people I've been to all 50.

Would we assume 2 games out there? I wonder if this is the deal where we go there for 2 games one year but they come here twice and play BU and BC on concecutive nights. I know we have set up that type of deal with other western teams before.

road trip!!!!

I'd love to see The Ralph. Not so much on the whole North Dakota in winter thing, but...

But will they be The Sioux?

Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

BTW our guys are having a night tonight. 5-1 in 2d

Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

Big win tonight, big for the Hockey East standings and big for the PWR.... and hopefully a great one to build on after after a tough Monday night. Hope they don't come out overconfident tomorrow night.

Good to see Cisse knocking one in... if he can start to tap into more of that potential, he could be a differencemaker for the team.

Re: Boston Universtiy 2011-2012 Part IV: Dont stop fighting til the fight is done!

Great win tonight. Hopefully the offensive breakthrough will continue to tomorrow.

This question is months too late, but I just noticed this in the PWR and standings. BU and BC have identical HE records, but BC has played (and won) 2 more NC games and thus has better overall win %. Did BU not schedule 2 of their allowed NC games this year? That seems strange, no?

BC played in the Ice Breaker which does not "count" towards your allowed number of non-conference games and in effect allows you two extra OOC games.
