Boston University Terriers 2026 Offseason Thread

Really curious to see what the lines look like to start the season. I think we all agree they might not have the high end talent of some recent years, but looking through the 8D and 14F on the roster and it's hard to find the guys who won't be dressing. On D... newly minted (A) Frechette? Wang? At F... Feldberg sure, but who else? NA-O? Norringer? Not many guys here that look like they'd be happy to be healthy scratches. Injuries will solve some of this at some point I'm sure but what's the ideal lineup? It's a deep group in that way.

Pandolfo on his media call:
Carter Amico "has been excellent. Give him a ton of credit...to make the decision to go (back) to the USHL and get reps again and play big minutes, play important minutes. He's had a great summer and is going to be a huge part of our defense."

anyone have a link for away tickets via our stellar ticking office?

Mookie was thinking of heading west this weekend and while flights were fine, hotels were a mess. Then of course nothing that mookie could find to reach out for ticket requests….

Gracias!

I asked the ticket office about this a few weeks ago and was told to reach out to the UAF ticket office. I emailed them and no response - so ended up getting tickets on their regular website.

thanks guys….
Seems odd that these things used to be taken care of and had some dedication involved…along with giving and those loyalty points.
So no blue links like with uvm means no ticketing in house? Nothing for lynah🙄💁🏾😳

Geez…

flo hockey-but its a pay site
Fubo TV has a 5 day free trial that includes Flo Hockey 24/7. I’m hoping the game is available there. Otherwise $40 to buy the separate subscription for a month.

Can’t wait for this season to get rolling!

As an FYI mookie, the ticket office can only post what the opposing teams give them. They no longer get a batch of tickets like in the olden days, they get a link to the opposing team's site with a block for visiting teams' fans. If UVM hasn't set up that site yet, that's on UVM, not the BU ticket office.

Game day! I can't wait for the wild over-reactions on Saturday.

The Scale:
  • Lose/Tie = This is what you get when you don't recruit local kids! They need older kids with grit! There goes home ice and any chance at the NCAAs! Do you think we can convince Mike Sullivan to leave the Rangers?
  • Win by 1 goal = Why do they always start so poorly!? Don't they know these games mean as much as games in February/March? There goes their NPI!
  • Win by 3+ goals = Could this be a FF team? Malhotra is the next Celebrini! Villeneuve is the next Hudson (pick one.)!
BU Hockey: Just Don't Suck

"Win by 3+ goals". Why not pick both?😊

I have Fubo and the Flo Hockey 24/7 channel. Our game is not listed. Is it possible that they're so nefarious as to play some damn rerun nonsense at that time to force us to use the app. Essentially causing me (us) to double pay.?.? :cautious:

I stayed up and watched. "Why do they always start so poorly? ...". OT W against what should be a second rate team. Seriously, though, I thought the defense was much improved and Yegorov was excellent. None of the dumb mistakes that drove me nuts last year. And it must be hard after flying 5000 miles to adapt. I'm just not sure where the scoring will be coming from this year. Glad to get out with points. Tonight will be interesting.

I watched it live too (well, as best I could with the low-def, terrible camera work broadcast). There were certainly some frustrating moments, but give credit to the AKF goalie who had over 40 saves.
- I was most surprised by how good Wang looked. Most of the chatter was that he was a project and he would need some time to adapt. He looked very comfortable out there, and JP had him out there to start OT. He was showing off his skating on that shift until the matching penalties that like everything else, we didn't get to see a replay of.
- I was also very impressed (and surprised) with Celebrini. He looked very good and I take back my comment earlier that he should be on the third pairing on a good team.
- XV on the other hand - I think he is going to need some time to adjust. He looked nervous, often mishandling the puck. And certainly not showing any Hutston-like moves. But it's one game, I'm not going to be too harsh.
- Amico certainly looked improved.
- Lawrence looked good as expected. Somewhere I predicted he was have 45 points this season, and I feel good about that prediction.
- I also thought Malhotra looked solid for his first NCAA game.I could see him taking around 10 games to adjust and then just starting to dominate.
- Strong game by Yegorov.
- Too many penalties please, and the PP could struggle for a bit.

Wasn't the camera work something? Half the time the goalmouth was outside the frame on a slap shot. At some point I realized I wasn't cursing at the Terriers, but at the camera.
