Re: Boston University Offseason Thread 2: Moving Forward by Booting Forwards

I know he'll only be a first year player, but Charlie Coyle will not disappoint.

If Coyle can stay out of the Parker doghouse thus getting ice time, fans should be extremely happy if he's half the player Saparoni is.

Cisse's recent history make it seem like he has bones of balsa wood.

I applaud the unwavering "wrongness" of your posts, demonstrating the lack of information or intelligence that FL pointed out. Cisse's injury was a cut tendon from an opponent's skate, not a bone injury. At the time of the injury, he was burning up the USHL had made ISL's rising draft prospects list:

Yasin Cisse – RW - Des Moines Buccaneers
Big winger from Quebec and a Boston University recruit, he was playing lights out and on the rise, with 8 points in his last four games. He reportedly suffered a tear in the tendon on his right ankle and will likely miss the rest of the season, so scouts may not get another chance to see him play before the NHL Draft

Seems that your posts have been oozing "wrong" from the get-go:

Maybe this is UNH's year. If UNH can beat Cornell, RIT doesn't seem like much of a challenge.

You're right. Most people would be just fine after having their ankle sliced open by a skate. It's not like there are a ton of ligaments and tendons in the ankle or anything.

I think we have to assume he either attends Northeastern or graduated from there, thus explaining his inability to correctly spell the name of his school.

If he is a Huskies' fan, it seems a very long time to still be bitter about NU choking on the final day of the 08-09 HE season, and losing first place which it had held all season.

Now see... I just assumed that mav or Darin added yet another screen name to drop in and rile up the masses. :p

Per the release of Wisconsin's schedule: BU's first game in the IceBreaker will be against Wisconsin on Fri 10/8. Second game will be against Holy Cross or Notre Dame on Sun 10/10. Not a fan of the day off Sat. Means I'll most likely be missing class Fri and Mon (same class, too). But priorities are priorities.

Re: Boston University Offseason Thread 2: Moving Forward by Booting Forwards

That's a pretty big deal. I wonder when they'll "make the call."

When it's determined the tendon is healed and he's ready for Chez Boyle.

Doesn't this announcer sound like the Johnstown Chiefs' pbp guy in Slapshot?
Or do all minor league announcers sound like that?

Meh, time to look for planes that touch down in Boston prior to 10:30am Monday. This is frustrating, at least we get UW and possibly also ND.

don't all y'all have columbus day off from classes?!?!

So we do. Didn't realize that was Columbus Day. That makes things much better. So two days of sightseeing. Definitely visiting the Arch and the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. A Cards game would be sick, but it would be the playoffs, so that could be tough.
