So....game tonight. Pretty big one. Where's the chattah????? Also - it's Matt Gilroy bobble head doll night!!
Good points. And rewatching it, it's understandable that the ref would have had a very difficult time seeing the head-to-head contact in real time, and easily could've misjudged it as a simple board or charge worthy of a minor. And I agree it would've been stupid for him to be forced to go to the replay booth and review the play and reassess a major or whatever. That said, on replay it's clear what happened and the league's subsequent assessment of a suspension is justified. Replay has a role, and in this case was used properly after the fact.
I wasn't referring to that particular play. Miller and Koharski, specifically, have been ****ing horrible making simple tripping, hooking, holding, etc. calls. The call on MacAvoy on Monday night was a good example. The home game against UMass, calling holding on Greenway when he had the puck and had reached back to brush the defensive player's arm off his shoulder is another great example, that "roughing" penalty on Lane (I think?) near the end of the game when Greenway scored a shortie. The NU @ BU game on a Friday night back in November took 2 hours and 45 minutes, and it was not an OT game. I have no idea how it is possible, but these two idiots make the rest of the refs over the past 13 years look great.

congrats on your sweep of UML . I was going to pay for the feeds but what's the point?
You're trying to be mookie and, well, it's just not working for me.
Oh you're right, those two have been terrible together. They call different styles of games and do not communicate well with one another on the ice, so you end up with a ridiculously inconsistent game, the worst of call kinds. They did the first BC game at Conte this year as well.
We stop at bobble head. HEAD
Nobody here wants a doll
(Write that down)
In general I think Koharski lets the players play, whereas Miller calls anything/everything resembling physical contact. Miller also tends to be out of position and behind the play; the most notable example is the call against Carpenter late in the game @ BC that resulted in the BC GWG.

I thought you were secure enough in your masculinity to not have that be an issue. Are you bringing your daughter tonight? Isn't BU undefeated when you bring her??
So, because I'm trying to avoid doing work this afternoon, I checked out the HE standings. Terriers have four losses, three of which should have been wins - UConn, UVM and Merrimack. If we were able to get one of these back as a W, which one would you take?

All of them
Incredible how bu always seems to play down to their competition. Been an issue for the past 2 decades.
Hasn't changed
The 4-3 loss to Merrimack. The other two losses were stinkers, but BU outplayed Merrimack most of the game. Two weak goals in a 1:03 span of the second turned the tide and Delia slammed the door in the third.
I'm afraid of them coming out flat tonight after the tough OT loss to their biggest rival. Let's hope in wrong (again)
